I heard they use a delay that was developed by the Servian army. Apparently it changes random ugly sounds into dancefloor bombs!

I been trying to get a delay effect like them for a while with no success.
Any body has any tips on the timing of the delay or some direction I can go.
Thanks |

Don't delay make music now!
Quantic try counting out the delays like measures and beats. It seems to depend on the style of music you are making. If I want to make dark scary sounds I use straight time normally for the main sounds 1/1 1/2 1/4 1/8 ect.. straight time but play with it and think how the midi notes you enter are repeated through the delay and how long they continue based on the resonant frequencies (eq to control this) and feedback amount. If you want offbeat use triplets and dotted... If I want to make dark scary sounds I use straight time normally for the main sounds because they directly repeat and honestly just sound crazy lol. Make a quick kick drum pattern of 4/4 delay it then tweak the delay. Try using a very very simple sound to begin with, like a sine wave bent into a percussive sound so you can get a grasp on exactly how to make any pattern with it. I learned the most from staying very simple and expanding on it. I think I found my first tutorial to film
There are many approaches...
Remember stay at it!
