Miss T- Please share your recipe.

For a 2 cups of chai, to a cup of boiling water I add two tablespoons of assam tea and two tablespoons of cardimon seeds. Let it boil up for few minutes (frothing). Then I add a cup of milk (heavier is better) four or so cloves, dash of cinnamon, dash of black pepper, and, my favorite, mint leaves. I've been playing around with fresh ginger, but not too much. Let this baby froth up at least three times. Dispense thru filter in cups with generous amount of honey. I don't like chai too pungent, this is a flavorful but smooth combination of flavors. Too much clove is usually a problem I encounter with chai.

any thing else missing?

actualy nothing missing monomono, chai tea is all about personal taste, as long as you have tea and spice in it. it will work. there is a moment that we don't need that milk for the classic bengal style called "bandrek" if i spell it right. but milk is always give a nice touch for sure. some people add fennel seed or drop of vanilla extract or half of little bayleaf, or touch of star anise. but my favorite is mono mono's ingredients without black peppers (cuz i have back pain problem) with more ginger (ground ginger will give the nice after taste fiber fx) and a piece of kaffir lime leaf (you can get this leaf fresh in a serious natural organic produce store) or china town (they usualy freez them). yammmmmmmmm and shooting.

hi monomono, the secret ingredient is....chillum! chai first, warm up the chest etc, to get ready for a good hit!
most of the spices (cardamom etc) are aromatics, which means you don't really wanna boil thm, but add them after the frothy mass has come up to a boil. the best is to take the time to grind them yourself in a mortar and pestle. it takes time to powder the cinnamon, but you can;t get that taste otherwise...love           smoke first, talk later!
