909 samples are overused - you can make samples in soundforge - but stomper just does it better (it was originally a bassdrum making softsynth) and much easier. And as an added note - stomper gives you a better understanding of how sounds are built from scratch, and that should count as a strong extra.

Stomper did help me to learn the basics of sound. It also helps you to connect a visual waveform to an audible sound.

in psytrance? i rather think "infected method" kicks are overused. in psytrance a 909 kick is quite a rare thing. |

the best kicks like skazi, eskimo
you need KiCK ME from a soundcard called LUNA or Scope. there you make out a good one and bounce it to wave. then you take it in battery and find yourself in heaven.. there are some real special tricks in it to find out.
eskimo used this whole time...
about Scope you can ask some guys to make u samples or you buy the hardware.
