Cool tutorial,, never really thought of using pitchbend like that (durr)
It's possible to do this in Ableton's Sampler as well.. |

You can't actually have the kick drum roll speed increase smoothly in GURU. You can only do it in stepped sections. In other words it jumps between speeds rather than smoothly transitioning.

I thought I got quite close as I only tried it briefly.
As I recorded a little automation in Cubase automating the number of repeats for each note, as found in the graph section of Guru.
I then corrected it by pulling a straight line for the number of repeats going from high to low.
It sounded almost smooth but I thought it just needed a bit more work on it to get it just right.
I will have to check it out, as I don't know how much the increase of repeats are for each step. |

Hi, I want to make a kickroll like this:
http://www.behind.dk/skrot/kickroll.ogg
But I can't seem to figure out how it is done, it seems that the the kick changes speed, but not in steps. Listen to the sample and it will maybee make sense.
Hope that someone can help me out. Thanx.

| if ur working on FL u can use aloottt of things..like the arpeggiator/Glicht/Chop the kick to get dat sound and then u can automate the knob of the picth that has the kick/chop the kicks from the lowest note to the highest.try using one of these to see how it goes =P hehe hope goes good

How can I open ogg files?
A few questions about kick
Let`s say I made a kick, should I render it to audio file or let it play directly from vst? Will be any difference? Cause I felt that the kick was better when playing from audio, but i really cant remember if both was with same setting. When I render should I apply compression before or after?
Never render kick and bass to the same audio file am I right?

Sometimes I think about people making music before World Wide Web explosion as a fucking genius!
How they're can make a kick rolls or all track at all, without step by step tutorials? Amazing!
And yea, i'm just kidding because I'm one of thats who learn everything by myself (just experiments).
And I can't understand where is the fun from making music when all Your job is just copying everything from tutorials.
Ready midi files (i seen bassline midi files - oh my god!!), ready samples, presets... just copying and pasting copying and pasting.
Where there (in that music) is soul of artist?
Where's passion? Is experiments hurts?
