Hi there,
A while ago I found it would be very handy to have a VST instrument doing what you can do by pitchbending a sinewave like described in the infected kick drum tutorial.
So I asked a very skilled programmer if it was possible to do so, and he liked the idea. Quite soon after me contacting him he got back with the first beta. After some while he was able to optimize the plugin so that it became just a killer!
What came to existance is a VST instrument plugin that gives you a kickdrum on every midinote you send (velocity sensitive of course) You can adjust the start and end frequency of the sinewave sweep in Hz, the length of the sweep in ms, you can adjust the character of the sweep, add some extra unsweeped freq in the end of the sweep and have a fade out of the kick.
And you can even automatize all these parameters. Imagine the possibilties for breaks!
I think it sounds great. Even though it's very simple to handle it does all you need. Not as many similar kickdrum generators this one has been optimized to create real FAT Kicks and doesn't just all that sweepy, fluffy stuff other software does.
And its also very cool to layer two of those plugins.

By the way, I asked infected mushroom after a gig to create a couple of presets for it, got an email adress, but unfortunately they didn't respond. I think it was an old adress.
Didn't like that move. But am still a big fan of their music.

It doesnt work here. I havnt tried it in my main sequencer (logic) but ive tried in two free vst host and it just crashes.
I really love the concept though! I better try it in logic. Be back soon with feedback. |

For real, thanks a lot, it is an AMAZING plugin, beautiful Kick sounds, I believe it will be a standard in any psy studio. |

Glad you like it guys,
The programmer deserves the thanks. This guy did an amazing work ripping down the complicated procedure to that simple thing and optimizing it so that it rocked in the end.

Has this program been severley beta tested yet...
Not sure if it worth registering something that crashes 3 times in a row....(for me at any rate)
i will however say it is a KICKASS program (excuse the pun) |

Hi,
Actualy I beta tested it on cubase 3.1 on my computer, i didn't ever have a problem with the actual version. Just now I come from my soundroom where the plugin just ran for 4 hours without problems.
But Thomas, the programmer will certainly get that beast working for all of you. Just report the bugs as precise as possible.
@vstdog, kvr, I don't know, thats up to Thomas from ismism.de. I just had the idea, tested, and made the presets. All the real work, all the stuff that needs brain and skills was done by ismism
