Hey all,
was wondering what vsts u guys use for ur Kick+Bass filter sweep?
I love the ableton auto filter but i switched to cubase a while back and the cubase filters dont seem to give me the same effect i was going for.
any suggestions on good auto-filter vsts please?
thanks in advance and Boom! |

do you have any good filter on synth that can be used as fx? should do the trick .
i don t have tested it much yet but i guess the fx version of zebra should make a awesome filter. |

The vst fx as stated above isn't a bad idea, predator has a fx version of itself. however Karma FX has a bundle available for free that includes a filter of there own which isn't to shabby on some sounds. Ive used it alot!! however if you really wanna get a set of really nice filters try fab filter products

i think their filters could be better would not be surprised if they update volcano to make something really good ,they sound ok for digital filters right now but nothing mind blowing imo . |

Renoise has a great Butterworth 8n filter that essentially has no resonance and brickwall cutoff that I prefer as it doesnt color the sound at all. (For notches its like frequency surgery, i LOVE IT)
Idk Im kinda looking for other options myself, Ive been so satisfied with the Renoise native one that I havent really looked for vsts. The vsts Ive found havent been noteworthy...
Id especially love to know of any freeware with Butterworth options, as I havent yet been able to find any. The Electri-Q free version has em I guess but I havent gotten into it that far. I guess that would be a suggestion, too

+1 on fabfilter
A few days ago I bought Volcano2 there and although I have only fiddled with the presets yet, I expierienced some huge Filter madness

Do you use a preset or manual set filter in volcano when that happens?
A lot of presets have panning in them, so maybe you automated that too.

Just use any eq that you have. The cubase eq itself isnt the best indeed. Fabfilter for the win!

Absynth has very nice filters and effects and very very cool envelopes, and if you combine this together you can get some fresh and untypical filter sweeps... |
