i'm not sure what you mean. but if i understood you correctly: use a sampler with your favourite samples, then make your rolls as you like them. then you can automate sample length and pitch using automation > sampler. |

For kick rolls, I experiment with different length kicks (in audio) make the pattern I want out of them using shorter kicks for quick succession and longer ones for hard stops and I mess around with a high cut eq/filter to make it sound nearer or further away. Its also fun to pan it about a bit and let the higher frequencies play when they are panned nearer to the middle. Just mess around. It's fun!
I suppose its a similar thing for snare rolls, but I don't use those. |

great thanks for your replies
but is it possible to get it using sampler like Battery or Kontakt? See, I think that by not having "Lenght" slider u cant really make it sound so nice. I tried automating it in Battery but these sliders just don't automate |

If you load your kick or snare in a sampler that you can set a loop in. You could loop the sample then automate the loop to speed up or shorten, that way your drum roll doesn't just jump from 1/16 to 1/32 to 1/64th's etc... Actually havn't tried it yet, but it seems like a good idea. |
