I've seen many threads about basslines, kicks and even snares but never about rolling. so let's roll!!!

ok my question is how do you guys make a kick, kick+snare roll? I know many artists like Infected like to make pitch automation. So you also cutoff low frequencies from the kick when you make your kick rolls or what? what are the techniques involved to make a nice roll?

tnx e-motion that helps but it's still not my case. I dont use samplers for kicks. My senses also tell me that I need to cut and fade out so they dont overlap. By techniques I meant pitch automation, patterns etc..

What patterns do you suggest? Do you think that kick playing at the same time with snare will do a trick?
Lets say time=1/64
kkkk
ssss

or its better to stick to the principles?
