a while since ive actually done this.... but if you have a modelling synth of some kind (whether its hardware or software) you can create a kick sound easily enough- firstly get a failry low pitched note, apply a lot of resonance, and put a low pass filter on it. then apply a pitch change envelope, with i think 25% attack (something like that), and ust play around with the settings for how much you want pitch to change. thats basically create a kick |

the easiest way to get HH sound is: to AM Noise to short A,D,S and a longer R the longer R is the more open the HH is. you can also play with Flangering/Reverberating the Noise before AM, etc. the noise can be Pink/White Noise. Make it of the same Note like the bassline (just another octave) - to stay tuned... you know that drums are supposed to be tuned... don't you ?
you can also create left - white noise, right - pink noise, and then you mix them with a ring modulation ... should sound juicy.
if you don't understand what i'm saying ... get Moog Modular/Nord Modular (real synths) or Reaktor ( soft synth...and VAZ modular doesn't work with 96khz/24bit, yet) learn how to use them.then read this again.

I know that everything needs to be tuned - but drums? I mean... It's not even a musical instrument - it's just noise. |

since there is no "bolts" on VSTi i say, go search for the most kicking ass track's of your flavour in your music collection, look for a part that the kick is "clean" RIP IT till u find any better, anyhow it's not gone release so fast, and if yes, ask your mastering engineer to help, and on the lefted time try to get hold of good sample cd's (btw: great stuff by akai) from good friend's or just more "supportive" people or people who use akai's, look for a sample disk named ROBOTS AND COMPUTERS and it will cure all your needs, also you will find who "inspire" all your role models from abroad. :)
PEOPLE BE HELPFULL, every one of you been once in starter position, showing one each other how deep is your knowledge wont help, just make people to quit, it's trance forum, not music store on the net.
btw: try to contact a good retailer in germany or london, explain what you are looking to sound like, and they fix you with the sample disk you need, no bolts or bullshit will ad. |
