i'm using the same boring kick for 4 years... i don't even know from where it did come (maybe some aliens send it to my hard-drive with me knowing)
i need new ideas... most kicks don't cut throught my sonic arsenal... |

yes it's still on! 
i turned out to be able to manage all requests and it got realy quiet after a while so i decied to keep it on for some time.,
so grab a synth, make some bleeps and upload them for an acount!

uhhm., you propably want to use an ftp client like cuteftp or ws-fp .,
you can use internet explorer but i cant get it to work., so other ppl must help you if you want to use it.,
once you have an ftp client installed you can connect to an ftp server.,
there are 3 pieces of information important for ftp.,
1) the address of the server (and sometimes the port nomber)
2) username
3) password
for this servert this info is:
1) address: redman.demon.nl (port 21)
2) username: kick
3) password: project
at first everyone logs in with the same account.,
it enables you to upload but you cant download with it.,
so, start your client and fill this info in the right place and click the connect button.,
then you should see the inside of the server.,
there is an Uploads folder
a Downloads folder
and a bogus folder of which i use the name to give you directions.,
you should upload into the Uploads folder so doubleclick on it.,
now you see some more instrtuctions.,
(they are acually empty folders but i like to abuse them )
find the button or option on your client to make a new folder., (you can only do this in the Uploads directory)
give the new folder a nice name
then enter it.,
now you should look for an option in your client to upload things.,
this is different from client to client., but most of the easy-to-use clients have 2 windows .,
one for your computer and one for the server.,
you can find the files you want to upload in the part that shows your computer.,
once you have found your files you can simply drag and drop them into the folder on the ftp.,
some clients use a button for this (i think ws-ftp has little arrows on the buttons., you shouldd highlight your files and press the button that points to the ftp)
now, if all goes well he transfer should start.,
once you have uploaded some selfmade kicks you should send an email to kicks4all@yahoo.com and tell me what you uploaded and what you want to have as a username and password,
then, within a few days (usually faster but dont bug me about it ) i'll send you a confirmation with your new username and password.,
then you can log in again with this new info and you will be able to download everything.,
it's the reverse of the process above.,
you look for what you want from my ftp and drag-n-drop it to your side (or push the transfer button that points to your computer)
hope this helps.,
anyway, if you have found an ftp client and you cant work it out then pm me or post to this thread and tell me which client you use.,
i cant tell you more details at the moment because most ftp clients work in a slightly different way.,

Using the IE:
1. Just enter the ftp address into the adress bar
2. Enter your account name and if u already have a password this also in the appearing window
3. Now u r connected and serving the ftp server, and can use it like any other folder, just move the files u want to copy by drag and drop or right click and use copy.

dude...i think u need to open this project to all percussion related samples, not just kicks...after a point of time every1 gets bored if its just a dull "thud"
sure, u'll get a lot of traffic for the first few days then things should ease back....just a though

on my opinion,
the preset's idea is very good and we need to upload an ftp server for this.

as i saw you have done this befor and i believe that you can do this again.
