"AvS, a browser is not a very good tool for ftp.,
you cannot upload and you cannot make folders."
Ok I didnt know that. But how come i was able to make a folder and upload my kicks in Explorer?
Perhaps because I dint know that it wasnt possible.

Could we expand the project to include other drum sounds? I'm always looking for new hihats/claps and whatnot, and with layering it's possible to get a LOT of neat combinations out of simpler sounds.
Do I need my own account to upload/download sounds? It doesn't seem to let me download or upload with the user/pass "kick/project".
Thanks!

hey. thanx psyx.,
glad you decided to upload !!
fuzzy,
i'm thinking about doing that but it would eat up a large chunk of my time to make this happen .,
so i need to think about it a little more
but it is definitely a good idea,.,
about this project.,
you *should* be able to upload with the kick/project account.
what you propably need to do is go into the Uploads folder on the ftp and make a folder with your name or nick.,
then you can upload to that folder.,
i've made it so that noone can remove the stuff that is put on the ftp.
this is purely for security reasons and prevents people from deleting other peoples uploads.
so if you mess up something or want something changed just send me an email and i'll fix it., no problem
once you have uploaded a kick you should send me an email anyway to let me know what login and password you want for your personalized account..,
once i've made that account and send it to you you can download from the Download section.,
it's that easy folks
btw., i realy want to thank all the people that have uploaded kicks .,
since i opened the ftp i got something like >58< new kicks from everyone ! and that's not including the 45 i donated.,
so.,., You Rock., We RoCK! ,
on a side note.,
people keep trying to *download* stuff with the kick/project account.,
it's not going to work guys.,
so please don't even try it cause you're messing up my logs.,
anyway.,
greets to all,!!

1 suggestion here....i'm not able to login into colin's directory (i know this directory must be hot !) using commandline FTP (i'm one of those geeks!). Can you specify a rule saying that the folder must not contain spaces....it works fine with FTP software though,
just wanted to help all those other geeks out there

you should put quotes around names which contain spaces.,
cd "Colin OOOD" should work.,
so, you're not a geek after all
greets.,
aka.,
ps. if you want to script it then you can put quotes on all names, so you dont have to make a special case for names with spaces.,
