What happends if you generate kicks in real time? It's not consistent!

i think bazzism doesnt have that problem because its not following the trend most of vst now follow (introducing subtle random modulation that makes them sound more "analog"):D but either way i would export it number of reasons to do that, less processing power, dont have to worry about starting the project a year later and u dont have bazzism installed or something happend to the patch.

So it's more convenient to export it, that's for sure...

Wether it's consistent or not.

I tried myself switching from real time generation to just sample arrangement, and the track feels so much tighter.

So this is from my own experiment, my own opinion. Let's hear more!

Still though I wouldn't call Bazzism a drum machine.

I use bazzism and love it.

It doesn't have ANY problems when used in real time. Each kick sounds the same.

I only render kicks when i want to process them in a particular fashion or make creazy edits.

Bazzism can be triggered in real time without any of the issues your friend brought up.

Also, in the future try not to piss on the people who are trying to help you?

You're coming here for advice yet when advice is given by people who DO know what they're talking about you demean them and quote someone whose advice you've already taken?

Doesn't make any sense to me. If you already know whats best why ask the question.            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

+1!
I remember being in a recording studio that had a VST (made by the owner of the studio) that had only one BIG RED button and claimed to make everything just better. (of course it did nothing).
When the client was complaining to much they launched this VST and bingo! The client was satisfied...           Ambient explorations -> www.flictmusic.com

I've used Bazzism for a few years now and I absolutely love it, but stopped using in realtime a while ago for a very specific reason:

In one track with a velocity-increasing kick-roll playing 64th notes it would suddenly jump to playing the notes as off-time 8th notes as the velocity increased through a certain velocity range then jump back to normal. It seemed it was a software bug, because when I moved the same midi pattern over to Battery playing a sampled kick it played everything as I intended. I don't know if this was a random bug or a weird response from bassizm to too many overlapping kicks being played out of the generator simultaneously and clipping, don't know if this has been fixed in recent upgrades, haven't tried to chase down that error specifically since.

Also once you have imported your kick into Battery you have a lot more controls available to you to work with the kick you've made, like envelopes and automation options for pitch or whatever, so you might as well move it on over once you're happy with the kick you've made.

Rule #172: don't mess with anyone (in this cas DH) if you can't prove to know the topic (in this case sound engineering and music) better than him

lol why dont u all go suck the dick from @DH then ?

but ye i also agree with @willsanquil...try not to piss the people who are tryin to help u mister "george lucas"...

i also use bazzism and use it in realtime...but for kick rolls i tend to use samples coz in bazzism even with polyphone off and midi stop on the rolls tend to stack the dbs........ something that doesnt happen when i convert one kick for the audio and make the rolls with that audio...

maybe its unexperience of me the stack problem but the solution i found was to use it sampled for the rolls... when im not feelin lazy to convert them to audio
