lot of your sound are probably stereo while your kick is mono in the center.. just that should already help. |

defo!!! i love sonakilsis dynamic eq , i find waves c6 is great multiband to dynamiclly notch out problematics aswell!!!
also for that spatial effect try waves ps22 x split for slighly wide yet mono compatible kick may help remove a masking problem..can be great on kick and bassline group i find spend a few hour tweakin for sweet spots and ya should get nice results ! will have to narrow image otherwise will clash but there is a balance can achieve

what i don t like with the waves c4 and c6 is the crossover ..it s fine when you use it to transform a sound like a fx but when after transparency it can degrade too much the sound in some case imo . |

depends on how the cross over used to suit the task type of thing, i thought it quite subtle , i think this thing can really tidy up sum nasty mud...its nice to use i think, my ears hadnt notices to much of that as i havnt been to ruthless with it, maybe i shall  in sum cases, see how fukin degrading i can make a sound lol ..but this, that nomad Multi max and the LL3 ll multi makes quite a good team i rekon...
anyways i spose it depends on this kick made really.. i wana hear a sample of it m8, coz u can get sum reall nasty un eq'd kicks outhere ..
like bazism for example , sounds like a shite hollow click box befor ya process it..

let me get it, when u say Panning the sound
is to have it moving trought left and right channel, and de fade will have a sidechain effect) leaving the kick clear in the mix?
another doubt, i should always cut the High and Low-mid frequencies on the kick? leaving a part of the mids normal for the kick click, and boosting a little bit on high-low at 90-150hz to show's up....
soo a bost in the lows, a cut (where normaly?) on mids,normal on the other frequencies of mids and cutting unecessary highs frequencies

its about doing what ya can do make room for everything....the click kick is to harsh then fix it on synth or eq it...or like sum1 sed pan them highs of other sounds off of it to make way..
making space - reverb,chorus,delays,wet and dry sounds...dynamic eqs , side chaining etc etc all tools to perfect a mix for clarity but only room for so much as sum1 else sed..arrangement then comes into play..
luizwil theres no should or strict guilines it will always depend where u want to boost and cut....but most always cutting 350-800 boosting or cutting (see it depends) 38-100 not to be specific of course..cutting or boosting (depends again) 1000-8k ya ears will tell u wots annoying , get rid A/B get rid A/B play 2gether sound good? no , a lilmore etc etc..
there r no numbers it the sounding areas i c it as...boost n cut where u feel then A/B it.
i hope my rant helps a lil bit...dont over look it or think it..sumfin that will happen tho once satisfied ya learnt tho
Eqs are all good for different purposes also...aswell as compressors..but thats another thread |

I just read the last page, maybe sb. mentioned it already but don't focus too much on one sound and its clarity in the mix when listening the whole mix, when I compare to released stuff not everything including kick stands out totally clear when it gets more and more busy
for me up to this point its important to bring out the attack phase of a kick not so much the low end, as I noticed in clubs/outdoor parties that the attack phase is present like crazy that's what guides people with the 4/4 not the low end so much...agree/disagree?

+1 yeh true alien , i ment multi band on a kik bass mix group anyway just to finalize it if needs it, works or it dont at the end of day really..
ya dont have to do anything mentions its just another tool if wana use..
kick eq comp limit...done..
i tend to run on lol and over complicate it sorry and yeh no good if cant hear it
