Hi i have this problem with the kick, sometimes i make kicks by themself to use later with various song. But i have this problem that the kicksound changes if i want a different bpm then i had when i made the kick.Often when i want to use the kick with a slower tempo it sounds much vorse "boomy" and long in a bad way.Why is it like this
shouldn´t a kick sound the same regardless the tempo ?
And how should i fix this "boomy" kick if i want a slower bpm ?
Should i fade it out earlier or use a gate which cuts the end of the kick ?
By the way i use fruity loops .
Best regards Conny |

Are you using the piano roll or the step sequencer to sequence the kick ??? And wich version you use of FL Studio ? (Try check other kick) if it happens too...

Yes, it should sound the same regardless the tempo.
I never had that problem. Are you using an audio clip or just a sampler ?
Try upgrade your FL to a recent version (v5 is out)
By the way, The only solution you have is like this:
- You slow bpm's, kick sounds funny -> pitch the kick back up (using pitch knob) or open piano roll and put it some notes above.
- You increase, (...) same shit but the oposite. |

Sounds to me like you're using loops of kicks. Wrong - use only one kick.
