by ears i like the kick a bit louder usually, it can add more dynamic to the tune.
i think value don't mean much as it depends the synths saw waveform, some saw are more quiet and peak higher , sometimes cause of hp filter

Man when i drop my kick to even for instance -6db and the bass to -8db i can barely hear them lol,so eventually all the other channels should be quiter too to fit the kick and bass and that makes the whole mix very quite when u export it,is it ok?

Yes, it's ok. If it's too quiet, turn your speakers up.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

Yes just turn your speakers up. The mix is quiet but it's ok, that will be corrected in with mastering.           Free album out now:

or if you just want to hear your pre mix at a decent volume output just put a limiter in the master rack to push the volume up. Are you using your computer's inboard soundcard? That may be a problem because you can't turn the volume up if you are using headphones.           Free album out now:

Well i use bx5D2 monitors with saffire 6 and its too quite guys and i mean it! I need to raise the volume on my soundcard for 80% too "feel" the track and for instance if i listen to some mp3 i usually listen at 50% max and its loud enough! Can a good mastering actually "bring" the volume back?

So what would be the exact difference between if i turn down the db of all my channels one by one or just take the main channel and turn it down?

Anyway.

Said that also in my opinion is good to keep the bass a little lower than Kick and to leave space for the mix; The final metering is our ears and the right feeling it's not only a matter of volume, but EQ and compression are necessary to get a total integration.
