hi there!

I think i'm going to buy my first hardware synth, the dark energy from doepfer (anyone experienced with it?). as i am a noob i have a noob question for you: do i need anything else but the synthesizer and fruity loops to make noise?...something like a keyboard maybe?

my plan is to create a channel for that fruity loops midi plug-in, wich i connect with the synth and than put bars in the pianoroll as usual...does it work like this?

thank you:)

U need an audio interface so you can connect your synth, and a keyboard midi controller is a really cool tool, but is not completely necesary i think.

I would advise getting a cheap MIDI controller.
You will get different kind of music when simply importing notes in a MIDI roll, as you will get different kind of music when jamming on the keys + it is a lot more fun and you will develop your skills over time.

Any synth is an instrument, treat it like one.

Peace.
