We can live it the way it is, yes. But if we see something we do not like, then it is our duty to change it. I mean I personally do not destroy the existing, but construct what I believe on. It is just one or several individuals with a vision and the effort to make that vision a reality. And those are the innovators, the underground, the creators... the rest just follow. It is the way it has been since we are in this planet. It is on several sociology books 
And BTW, your comment about the $10 is just, to say the least, pathetic.

in all seriuousness and on topic with this thread - as long as it's kept psychedelic, it will be underground, cos nobody can own your fucked up mind, right?! who wants it except you?

Nelito, good luck with the event and good luck to your crew. It is just that Rock Star attitude that gets me...
I mean psy trance in its current form will remain, I think its time to be in MTV passed a while ago, since I already saw Prana, doof, Astral Projections... on the US MTV already... It is a matter of a growing number of ppl who does not care about gratification, but care about creating better music celebrations and trance dance experiences. THis is the real core of the psy trance experience. You should be thankful while you think you have it all, intead of dimissing others telling them to be your servants. And who cares about spotlights... Vanity is a bitch.
Anyway have a good time in South Africa and blast them the best way you can.

I think the best way to promote psytrance in the NYC area is to put together 18+ shows at low key locations for a reasonable price.
I believe that putting together a party at an 18+ venue in queens, brooklyn, the bronx, New Jersey, lining up some cheap local talent, and charging 10 dollars at the door is much more profitable and sustainable in the long term than producing a party at a mainstream 21+ manhattan guido club with a 35-40 dollar cover charge.

Hey, I remember 5 years ago Infected and Skazi were ones of my favorits (not anymore)artists and not only mine. They chose to be more "MTV wana be" . So what?
What good about trance music its always keep evolving. And now you can choose from so many styles of psy trance. Just keep it underground for yourself , dont try to make everything "underground" , cause if all is underground its not underground anymore.
Thats what I think.
Keep it psychedelic!

i dont really get all this.... why knock on skazi and infected? i never ever heard someone go, "hey you know that band the beatles, or the rolling stones or led zepplin? man they are sell outs, that guy john lennon, he is such a sell out!" i dont understand today's people at all... do you guys think if you were in the same position as them you wouldnt take it??? all the hard work, the producing and traveling, millions around the world love your music and come to see you play year in and year out... and so what happends??? YOU GET FAMOUS... i mean with all the mp3 trading and what not, mass COPYING of files artists get well knows sooner then later... all these artists have put in very very long hours, sacraficed like any other person who is successful... i mean i hear some of you say you loved these guys 5 years ago, but now they are sell outs, because they play in front of tens of thousands... were they COOLer then they did small parties for 500 ppl or 200ppl?? and also what is all this outsider talk? who says they dont like the music as much as you do? werent some of or all of you guys fluro wearing light toy bearing at some point? why not have fun? isnt what parties are about?? having FUN, communing with others, exchanging energy and good times... THE VIBE??? i think one of the problems is the clique eletism that goes with parties and trancers, not being open to "outsiders" what makes that different then the so called "sell outs"
i remember a metalica interview where they were asked about being sell outs... and james hetfield said" yeah we are sell outs, we sell out every arena around the world"
i guess all i am saying is yes they are the pionners of the scene, without them and them pushing it to the extremes... artists like john "00" flemming, john phantasm skazi, raja ram, joti, hallucinogen, infected mushroom,, astrax projection, x dream, juno reactor, deedrah and gms and many many others should be given respect for and thanks for all the years, and sweat and tears, and joyful estatic moments they all given you at some poing in your lives... for all the scrafices and traveling non-stop around the world brining the new and cutting edge sounds to lead the way for the younger gengerations... give them thanks.... but to call them names... is insulting...

The point isn't simply to 'knock' on skazi or infected.. the point is, their recent music isn't nearly as good as the music that made them who they are. nobody says anything about the Beatles because as the Beatles got more famous, their music got better, more interesting, and more experimental. They could afford to lead people down unknown avenues because they were famous and they knew their fans would follow. I would have so much more respect for both IM and Skazi if they'd gone down that road.
Instead, their music is getting more poppy and barely psychedelic, in hope of attracting the same teenyboppers who used to love Oakenfold and now gush over 50 Cent. A lot of it can barely even be considered psytrance. kinda loses its essense there, doesn't it?
the thing is, there's really nothing we can do to stop it. let's just hope we can ride it out and something good will come of it.

DAMN Brainlizzard you just hate I.M! First you call LA's psytrance scene the armpit of the US and now
your on another hating campaign. Maybe you should spend more time saving your money and buying a studio. Then you can create your own sound to keep underground. WHAT CAN YOU AFFECT.
