rollingstone isint good enough
I demand videos, interview, and non stop news coverage on MTV of all the big and most psychedelic artists like Infected Mushroom and Skazi. I want to see their faces on buses and taxi cabs and subway cars. I want to see millions of groupies try to flock them as they leave their limo's and try to get into their four seasons hotel. I demand that parties cost no less than rock concerts, and that the beer and water becomes just as overpriced. And that parties are held at huge stadiums and arenas. You people doing this underground shit have your head up your asses, we need to look towards the future, we need to EXPAND!!!!
LONG LIVE PSYTRANCE!

loooool a quick look in the future from that perspective:
...Madona's Frozen (Fatali Vs Perplex Rmx) is included on her new album and is a huge success on KTU
...Britney Spears vacations in Goa and annonces that her new record will have a new underground feel to it
...Oprah starts a line of fluoro clothes to be sold in Wall-Marts throughout the country
...Grammy includes psy trance as a new category...
Thank God we all know this won't happen at least in the US So lets laugh and celebrate the fact that we live in the country where psy trance is still underground and very likely will be |

i've never heard a dumb question and now is no time to joke. If we continue to promote Skazi and Infected Mushroom as the rock stars of Psytrance we WILL be on the cover of rolling stone. Does their music REALLY still tweak your head? They are only figureheads because of their early ground breaking ideas ...now they are just decoys to help keep the real psytrance underground!

thats mind-blowing
what exactly are you proposing we should do? Do you think everyone who listents to IM and skazi will come to this forum and realize "Man, Brainlizzard is right, we should be listening to the real undaground shiznit, not this infected skazi garbage"

who said i was proposing anything ? Just stating the obvious here...IM and Skazi are no longer the artists by which to measure psytrance. I brought up this topic because I am having a hard time swallowing the props people are handing out on this list to artists who have simply sold out!Even though I live in the USA the last thing I want to see is Hollwood getting ahold of psytrance.
GEE,I would really hate to offer up any new ideas to members of this list who see IM and Skazi as psytrance or even attempt to direct the attention of psytrance listeners towards more underground sound.

What do you care about what other people are listening to?
Let them listen to whatever they want to. What are a product of the communist era or something?
Here everyone, listen to Tamlin, it is good for you. As someone said in another topic, people will find what they need to listen to themselves.
Is good psytrance really all about new ideas? How many new ideas could you have in psytrance. I mean look at the difference between Lone Deranger and the latest psytrance and compare that with the range of Warp releases for example. For me good psytrance is the one that has emotion in it, one that evokes something in me. If I want truly innovative music I will go to the avant-garde or IDm scene.

I'm sorry but that is just something your going to have to learn how to do. I've had a very hard time doing the samething, and I know the pain your going through. Their is nothing worse than having teeny-boppers in fluro walking around listening to Infected Yahel and calling themselves at the same time Psytrancers. It's like being robbed of part of your soul. But there is nothing you can do aboutit, just let them listen to whatever they feel like listening, the important thing is that you listen to the music which you consider good.
I dont know if its clear(next time i'll write a "warning:sarcasm" sign ) to everyone here but that post was a joke. And anytime is a good time for a joke.

You can't be serious lol..That's some psy conspiracy theory. Honestly it sounds like you're trying to make a point but it just slips away. Or maybe it's your twisted sense of humour...
I think that you don't need to worry about true underground and how to keep it there simply because it's there to stay. I know that it can be disturbing to see some artists go commercial but it is inevitable and it only means that there'll be more room for true creative forces. So when you see Skazi on the cover of Billboard magazine have a smile or even a good laugh. |

i'm sorry the point was for myself . i believe it was 1992 or 1993 , so many parties i can't be exact . anyway there where two magazines in L.A., one was X-ray and the other ???(sorry). one mag's subject was GoaTrance and the other had a timeLine of electronic music from birth to current time .wow, they were on point . the timeLine showed Goa T as mainstream across the board . once again i'm sorry , i just needed to see if NorthAmerica knew that PSY isn't underground .
GOA was one of the few souls born without body and she will be reborn.
