The most disgusting side-effect of trance music for sure is litter. Tons of trash, garbage, and what the other words might be. It smells, it attracts insects, its unfomfortable and its not esthetic to look at it at all.

As I heard lately, there are still people believing that we are some kind of a superior community. Respectful, peaceful, full of colour and good vibrations, in generally, standing above any other gathering of people. But when it comes to our behaviour, well this is another story. We paint pictures of our scene as we want it to be or as it should be. It is or was a fact, that a "real trancer" does take responsibility for our planet and our actions on its surface. Trancers love the nature they say, but as soon as all the horrible drugs start to perforate our brains, we suddenly drop off our responsibilty towards our planet, stop caring about the planet and the creatures following us. Suddenly we are all part of our own ego games and nothing else anymore, trash flies around in a titanic quantity.

Why the heck everyone seems to be so lazy? It takes you about 5 minutes of preparation to end this. Each group of people visiting the festival has to take some bags for litter with them. A 35 litres bag is totally enough for a 2 days trip for 3 people. Second, use mobile ashtrays. Some sort of empty candy box or something like this will do the trick. All your cigarettes, joints, whatever you might be smoking, wander into there, and later into your litter bag. And finally, collect all the bags at one spot, so the cleaning team can take them all with them in one step.

Its so easy, please do it. Let's realize what our scene stands for !
Thanking you, R.

Generally you're right as well, but ...

There are packages which are not *that* natural. Synthetic packages, which toxic ingredients gets washed out by water and gets into the earth, destroying agricultural fields of generations ahead.
Maybe you (EYB) also think cyclic. What comes from the nature goes back to her. Thats okay, but if you think like this you have to do it complete. As long as the humang being would completely be involved in the natural cycles of our planet, there's no problem, but the slightest action from the human side destroys the balance and the natural cycle of creation and demolition.

Sorry for my english, hope you understand my centerpoint at least

whenever we do outdoor parties, we require all participants to pick up their trash before they leave, and afterwards we divide the area into a grid and go through it, picking up all the trash we can find. Come on, we owe the earth at least that much.

In Japan recently, trance organizers are having a hell of a time to borrow land to do parties. Japanese landowners rejecting requests due to past actions of party-goers making the place a big garbage dump.
Party-goers themselves killing their own scene by their own hands. How selfish can people be....

keeping places clean seems to have become quite a task... organising crews like dance-a-delic even hand out trashbags when you enter the festival and you get a 5 euro refund on your entrance price when you bring it back to them at the end of the festival.

I just heard about methods used at bigger commercial events where they take the top centimeters of the entire party area and simply collect it completely to filter it later...           www.psytracks.com :: Brand new website for sharing your psytracks with the world. nice words anakoluth,

as in several threads here already mentioned our "scence" isn t was it was some years ago. this doesn t belongs just to the music itself n the behaviour of ppl in general, also our behaviour to gaja has changed...

i don t know if eyb's answer was of a sarcastic nature, i bet he know too that a pet-bottle needs hundreds of years until it s taken back from mother earth.

good organizers should take care about the partygoers n give them a bag when they enter. i like the idea of rik with the refund ! -the time when the average-party-ppl didn t have any bucks in theyr pockets is over anyways (mostly), so it s a nice idea !

also here in switzerland some party-places didn t get the authorisation for partying cause last time the farmer had clean up the litter...we re killing what we like...

...commercialism never turned smt to the good...do we need > 5000 ppl festivals ?
