I know a lot of ppl got bored of this kind of bass line but I think its only the basic, classic line and by my opinion the most powerfull and rollin line. dont get me wrong I know there is alot of tracks with this bassline and alot of them are really boring but thats because nothing else is happening there.
I say: dont blame the bass-line, blame the "artist" and if you are bored than make things different your self .           check out! www.soundclick.com/spasm

You can say lots of things about this bassline - just don't say 'classic'           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

I prefer monotone basslines, whether they be kbbb, k_bb or K_b_ i believe monotone is much better for hypnotic trance sound. I dont have a problem that theyve been done thousands of times before, as long as its deep and clean it does it for me, then its whats on top that matters. But i still appreciate good funky basslines that move around a bit, but not in same old same old " pitch one note up halfway then a couple more at different pitches near the end of the bar 16th basslines"...basslines.

i'm also with tim here....most of these "melodic" basses are way too hectic 4 me (apart from the fact that there is NO bass).           Anakoluth A Pebble in Your Eardrum's Shoe since 2001!

i guess some fullon tunes a focus of the tune is the bassline.... it comes in and you screw your face up and say 'shit that is a good bassline'..... well kbbb (b all the same pitch) is not really gonna do this anymore these days.... if it the vb1 it wont for sure......

But other times the bassline is just filling the low end of the mix and you dont want it to be really upfront. In that case i guess kbbb can be fine..... and k_b_ too if you have some nice groovy low-mid stuff..... depends where you want the listeners' attention to go....

the sequence of a bassline isn't nearly as important as the tone, warmth & depth.
i feel like i'm at shitty bassline anymous..
