ohhh my god finally a section for global music .......... but if its global music karunesh kiks some serious butt man.........love his sound this dude is a total tripper..........his album global spirit was a total killer

Artist Bruno Reuter otherwise known as Karunesh (which means 'Compassion' in Sanscrit) records under a couple of different aliases. As 'Global Spirit' the aim has been to fuse vocals and music from India, Australia, Native America, Africa, and the Middle East. The Global Spirit album features violin, sitar, didgeridoo, bouzuki, native flute, chinese temple flutes, tamboura, bamboo flute, various world percussion instruments, wave drum and other sounds.
Originating in Germany, Karunesh has been living in Hawaii for around 10 years now. His musical career developed following a life-threatening motor-cycle accident and then a visit to India in 1979 where he stayed in ashrams within the hills of parvati and manali. The first album 'Sounds of the Heart' was released in 1984.

i have global spirit and it totally rocks indeed ....
check out some tribal music on vale records ....i have this cd called tribal nations ....totally kick ass.....
they also have stuff like kirshna trance ,shiva trance stuff like that .....a bit commercial but totally kick ass

ohh my god ..... finally i get a reply in a other wise dead section with 2-3 posts on each topic max. ...... yeah man vale records are good i love the vales lounge cd .......... as far as i remember are they those guys who took out the really high priced buddha bar cd series ......... peace .....

nope i have no idea bout that .....
but buddha bar 3 is done and produced by karunesh u should check it out ...i'm trying to find it too ....
and there is this cd by times music "lounge safari" ...i think its the best lounge music compilation ever done ....
can u suggest me some lounge stuff , cuz i really dig such music ....???

I just got the CD of global spirit - karunesh after hearing the vocals of punjab in couple of tracks like smoked glass n chrome, coolio , angels message..
He has made amazing remake of that hindi golden oldie.. even other tracks are superb.. !
hehe binary_me ur nick is good.. but dont u take a bit too long to decide 1 or 0 ?

The hindi sample from punjabi is not originally from karunesh but from an AKAI sample cd...lol...thats why all bands use the same  |

acyually there is a old hindi movie track with the same vocals and lyrics.....so the samples originally from the hindi movie itself...
