I've never heard an artist create such raw intensity with such refinement before. When will we have an album by this great artist? It's long, long overdue.

Isn't this group nothing shy of amazing?! Only in the recent several months (since Samhain) have I become fully familiar with Ka-Sol, Battle of the Future Buddhas, and all their projects released on the Schlabbadeurst Records compilations. Of all the trance I've managed to find, their stuff is by far the most complex, the most hypnotic, and the most emotional, from a strictly musical perspective, that I've heard. Truely ingenious in my opinion. But then, I just love, and I mean LOVE disjunctive melodies and dark chords:) Nothing else moves me more while dancing.

I don't know when those pages were written, for instance the Ka-Sol site seems to be put together before the 4th Schlabbaduerst comp was rls'd in 2002, but I really like the information. The BOTFB website even has a page describing their different projects and the tracks they've made. Good stuff

Thanks for all the info, dr astral. I have most of the great music you mentioned and am familiar with the sites you listed, but I won't be happy until Ka-SoL releases his own album. The idea of having an entire release full of tracks like Pricken blows my mind. It doesn't make sense to me that he hasn't made one yet.
Are you very familiar with Demonizer, by the way? Is it any good compared to other BotFB stuff?

I like Demonoizer. but I think they have a higher concentration of better tracks with Twin Sharkfins and over on the Schlab comps. Yet, I wouldn't be without it) |
