big thanks to the whole touch crew for a great weekend in the woods, deerfields is so mysterious and full of life, you can just feel a certain presense there,

Horizon played some serious stormers, absolutely perfect for the sunrise over the lake on saturday morning, it felt so nice stomping around under the warm sun,
the comp sounds insane man! great work, and it was wonderful having you down here, I hope next time you guys can stay longer,

Kilowatts had some really nice breaks in the chillout, man that guy has got some great talent, awesome cd too.

Shapestatics new sound is really moving as well, nice and dark but still very dancey and groovy,

Onnomons set was sounding really smooth, I really like the new direction, it sounds really psychedelic. nice work

other standouts to me were Facehead, nice way to start things out, and Moksa, who played a really grooved out chunky set,

thanks to all artists who played though.
and thanks for the MASSIVE SOUND!

see everyone next year.

Wow it looks like a beautiful spot!!! Maybe one of these days I'll be not broke when there is something at the Deerfields and actually make it down there. Truly unhappy about missing another party from the Ashville crew

Great time!!! The rain wasn't all that bad, I think it brings us closer together. Big thumbs up for the Touch Samadhi crew. I'd say this newer main stage configuration (under the pavilion) is a keeper.

What a suprise from Facehead! Are you Amish? Hiding out in the woods? Didn't get a chance to meet you, hopefully we'll hook up sometime in the future. With Facehead and Kilowatts in the area perhaps I shouldn't defect to the west ;^)

Loopus in Fabula is one of my favorite artists and the opportunity to play alongside him was a bit of a dream come true. Now we go into gig hibernation.

Shapestatic was another highlight for me, a smooth style but with the right touch of slamming energy.

The US artists are coming together.

The vibe is getting stronger!

yeah, i think i could live at deerfields

BIG thank you to touch samadhi for yet another soul cleansing stomp in the mountains. the sunrise saturday morning was awesome: great vibes, beautiful scenery, and a stomping soundtrack from horizon. moksa's opening set saturday night to the fire dancers was great as well. the new shapestatic tracks are sounding nice, phat basslines. best of luck to you guys with the upcoming album! nice work by devotee on the deco and that soundsystem speaks for itself.

already looking forward to next year !!

A letter of thanks...

To everyone that had any part in the invocation, creation, organization, and ultimate fulfillment of our 3rd annual arts+music festival (i.e. trance party extravaganza), THANK YOU!!!!!

Good times were had by all, through the rain and storms we persevered and Ka-Pow! was ultimately a sucess. Everyone had a rockin time, that's more than enough quantification for sucess. There are far too many people to thank, as everyone was fundamental in the sucess of this event. But there are a few people who we want to extend our personal gratitude and thanks.
In not too much particular order:

johnny marquis-for your heart and your soul and your dedication. for being the man. plain and simple.
deerfields-the most inspiring and beautiful trance venue in the united states and the world! she continues to amaze and astound us with her natural beauty!
john jay-the host with the most. without whom deerfields would not be possible.
croup-for keeping the place safe and chasing out intruders (and congrats on your engagement
jacob and chris-for doing the gate during the times when no one really wanted to be up there, and doing such a damn fine job of it at that.
all our gate workers-for volunteering their time to help in doing a sometimes boring yet fundamental job
all our workers in general- so many people volunteered to help us this year, we're extremely lucky and grateful to have such a wonderful community
david- for parking cars and being lonely and getting rained on
Scott for getting rid of the trash
sakred circle for sanctifying the dance space and opening the party with spirit and intent
unifire - for their awe-inspiring and sometimes bawdy (hehe) fire display
hujaboy - for cooking a mean chicken and rice dinner
loopus - for rocking out the close of the party with disco trance on sunday afternoon
all the other artists - all you deejays and live acts that helped percipitate the complete destruction of the grass on the dancefloor
ambra - for your delightful delicacies
shane+alex - for the 3-D visual experience, art, deco, and otherwise psy-optical experience
swamp booger - for the nightmares that will roam in everyone who saw it
monkey+serena for the chill space, collage explosion, and a million other things.
All the VJ's - the visuals were second to none. the technical layout from behind the stage was a sight to behold. thankyou for your psychadelic visual experience
justina for being exactly where she has to be. front and center. with her arms in the air
everyone who asked "is there something i can do to help?"
Liz for the delicious chai and the conversation
Nicole for keeping the dancers hydrated
kri's mom for watchin blaise so his parents could party
dave henshaw for his fantastic review that was not one paragraph too long.
the brazillians for bringing the bootyshakin' second to none! tranc parties are not the same without the brazillian flag waving around the dancefloor in the am.
Don + Aaron for the rock star shuttle services and more
Lou and James for 30,000 watts
peter parker for being spider man and hanging zome where no one has ever hanged zome before!
melanie for leading everyone to get their kundalini on and the altars!
nicole for chi gong workshop
sami te for the belly dance workshop
Esirus and Shad for making us all smarter with their lectures
Anyone who picked up trash, hoola-hooped, danced, spun fire, spun CDs, smiled, hopped, skipped, and jumped around, adding to the experience that was KA-POW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love,
The Samadhi Family
