Just wondering people, how many of you can still listen psychedelic trance tracks from the 94-99 era...And i don't mean the really dated ones or the big hits...
Also, if you think these still work in an outdoor party on a mountain..... |

its not only these things u say my friend . i completely agree with you . the other thing also is being open minded with psy-prog trance and from my side i listen and play anything that is good for our ears and senses . Trance have changed within the years but the enjoyment should still be the same. Old tracks works always and everywhere because they are the prophets of some new ones. others are just ...profits... if u know what i mean bom |

the golden era of psy/goa trance is that period:95-98
these classics are unforgetable and if you ask me,i almost only listen to these.only a few exceptions of the after 2000 era reach the quality of psychedelic synthesis of these classics.today's so called psy trance or full on,has no psychedelic essence at all.(at least to my ears)
i leave my hopes on the wheel of time;) |

hehehe...nice to see these posts ppl!
my psy musical tastes range no further from 99, actually the last good cd i bought was TIP's Temple Of Dawn (2000) but things have already changed by then...
Absolut Zero, i sure hope someone is cooking something like that, but not in the spirit of playing the old, stale big hits...
I already cooked a nice dinner for 50 people,in a mountain (hehe)...I was really hesitant at first whether the tracks i've chosen would sound dated, but when they finally played through the soundsystem everybody panicked...It was a great night, one of the best i've ever been to and i realized that classical music can't be old or new...it's just classical...
An excerpt from the tracklisting:
Quirk - Dark Matter
Joujouka - Ama No Kawa
Ubar Tmar - Macrometasomacosmos
California Sunshine - Lunatic
Liquid Metal Feat. Chakra - Search For God
UX - Master Of The Universe
Transwave - Trashish
Shaolin Wooden Men - Remember The Slime
The Muses Rapt - The Return Of The Travellers
The Muses Rapt - Spiritual Healing (Remix)
Juno Reactor - Feel The Universe
Also a lot of recent psychedelic and ritual music, but not "Filed Under Psy Trance" such as This Morn'Omina, Male Or Female,Spies,Mitsumoto,AOA
Damn i wish we could all get together in such a happening outdoors! :):)

It's nice to see that and some others in Greece are listening music of these projects! Of course I like retro trance! It put me on electronic music or music as is the first music that I feld interest in it!Also I like a lot the deep trance of Novatekk age!Absolutely music for mountains!A retro event would be a great idea but as you said more underground vibes would be great and not playing only the big hits!

Listening retro psy tracks gives you a good background if you are into psytrance.
You must always here the old, so you can evaluate better the new track and styles.
Its the same for every kind of music.
