Couple a days ago in this small party,I asked for organizer to put on my track. It was a decent rig,and I had the chance to listen to my track loud for a very first time, and so do couple of other folks.
It was amazing. Not in a sense of my sound,I noticed that I gave my tracks too much of a credit. The bass was not fat as the other tracks, the mix was not so clear,I could suddenly hear the small stuff I couldn't hear before.Yet,it was amazing.Amazing to see other people dance to it.Amazing to hear folks ask "what is this, sounds good, sounds different".Amazing to aknowledge that I can touch, and I did touched other people with my music.
That was an enlightement moment.I want to thank you all, amazing folks of isra, for sharing and teaching me stuff in the last year and a half.Recently due to life itself I had little chance to touch and write my tunes, yet I am going to give it a go.With your help and divine inspiration.
BOOM.
From all the things I lost, that sandwitch cost me most :)

Nice one jekvan! Keep em coming!
A couple of years ago I was at a festival and I heard this track that sounded familiar. When I hear a track that I know I always have to know who made it.. So I kept listening and things started to become clearer.
"I know this song.. I know I know it, but what is it??" Then some female singing dropped in and it hit me. It was a track that I made with a friend some time ago and I completely forgot about it. We had his girlfriend sing some random stupid stuff in the mic and put that in the track... I have no idea how the dj actually got that track.. but it was funny as hell to not even recognize your own track. And hear my friend sing random poppy stuff like: 'move your body' 'move to the beat' etc.. It was never intended to actually hear those stupid lyrics on the dancefloor

I remember first time i was in fullmoon festival in germany 04. I was laying in my tent finaly ready to crash after a long period without sleeping. And suddenly i hear a track of mine been played in the main stage. I got totaly in shock and ran down to the dancefloor and just stayed there with a huge smile on my face, some sort of nirvana feeling (And yea, i heard how bad it really sounded compared to all the other shit hehe) But it got me hooked on making more stuff for sure.
cheers!

That's beautiful. Sounds like an awesome experience! For me, making music that touches other people the way the music I love touches me is all that matters in the end. It is very special! |
