hey mate not bad at all ,i would dip a bit with the kick around 400 , not yo much also 200hz ,, i would really search a bit more freqs what can clash in the later state of your mix ,would give your compression more ratio so the the kick really sticks out the mix , the bass wins here over the kick , and if you ad sounds you can really notice it . not bad mate , namaste |

YEAH MATE , , ONE THING I NOTICE AND TIP , IF YOU WANT TO LET THE VELOCITY WORK ,AND ONLY PLAY A SINGLE NOTE KEY FOR THE BASS , JUST SAMPLE THE BASS LINE AND PUT IN A SIMPLER , BEFORE THAT YOU DON'T GOT NOIZE AT THE START OF THE SAMPLE ,( LIKE A STRAIGHT LINE )CUT THAT TIL YOU GOT THE BEGINNING OF THE SAW TOOTH. https://ask.audio/articles/synthesis-survival-guide-harmonics-overtones-partials
GO TO THE SAW TOOTH EXAMPLE IN THE LINK . THATS A CLEAN SAWTOOTH NO POPS ! and it will even sound super clean in your mix and works already nice with the kick ! put the velocity on 50% in the simpler and a -6.0 in gain . it should come to 0
now if you make your bass notes , and apply velocity you hear a much stronger velocity effect , if you also put some compression before compression and put the attack higher and small release ( H-comp very good ) try to hit -6.0 , by applying the threshold . if then sampled and used like the example i give you on top , the velocity will working like a sidechain . try it out , if i was unclear let me know bro peace and namaste
