the prodigy are about as far away from the jungle vibe as i could possibly imagine
jungle doesnt just mean drum and bass, or rave or any set of sounds but its a vibe yes, essentially its drum and bass, but at the same time it often isnt its the kind of street vibe that emerged here from the afro caribean scene and part of taht vibe is its totally udnerground
prodigy just dont fit in to that vibbe their sound is generally too clean,it may have elements of drum and bass in it occasionally, but....it just doesnt have the jungle feeling, the spirit...thats not saying anythiong bad about the group, (though i go sick of them years ago after it became so damn trendy here to listen to them, because that was cool rebellious techno, bla bla), but they just dont have the jungle vibe in their music |

Ron - nice theory. I Like it and i'm agree :)
About non jungle vibe in Prodigy's music - yeah, that's right, but we were talking about Jericho only... Suer, LTJ Bukem, Andy C, Roni Size, Ganja Kru or DJ Hype (like this man's style) sure have more to jungle:) And last prdigy's albums are far far away from d'n'b or jungle. Techno, for sure, break beats. |
