greetings from the states, everyone
a friend and myself will be visiting rio de janeiro for the first time the last week of july and would love to check out a psy party while there. anybody know of anything? i know were missing the Trancendence Festival by a couple of weeks, which really just sucks, but the dates couldn't be helped. i'm not neccessarily looking for a big party either, some good music and a couple hundred cool people would be more than fine. how are your clubs out there? if you know of any that will have some good music going on that week, definetly let us know. either in rio or someplace easy to get to for a couple of foringers who don't speak portugese. of course if it's good enough we'll find a way. i'm also into progresive house (ala global underground) and my friend is into high energy hard house/tech for second options, but a psy party in brazil? supersweet.
i saw another post about the best local dj's, any good cd stores you can recommend that would have some of these? how about psy vinyl? any recomendations outside of music we HAVE to see while there? sorry for all the questions... anyways, i look foward to seeing your country and meeting your people, three weeks won't come fast enough.

I'm not too sure about the psyscene in Rio, but outside of music, something you must visit is a beautifull small chapel in the middle of Tijuca Forest, or "Floresta da Tijuca" as we call it, that was all painted by one of Brazil's greatest artist Candido Portinari.

There may be few parties in Alto Paraiso,Go after trancedence,I think.

i tried going the links (raveon.com & something else) on the other post but nothing came up. anymore info on this maia's new year thing?
is there any place in rio we can go to check out fliers or a listing on clubs & find out what dj's are going to be in town that weekend? is there a decent scene going on? |
