The pencil tool is more of a crackle remover and something to fix tiny sample errors, and not to actually draw your waves by hand. It's impossible to draw by hand something that will sound better than plain noise and making something of reasonable length is very time consuming, thus making it quite pointless.

Fantastic for making crazy-ass single-cycle waveforms though, which is possibly what the guy wanted.

anyone know of some freeware like metioned by spindrift i tried voice learning addition but i wish i could get it to scan slower
