Qudos ‘The Trance Invasion’
Friday 9th November 07
@ Club Mango – 2200 to 0500
20 Hosier Street, Reading RG1 7JL

With John O’Callaghan, Fred Baker, Marcos (Euphonic) and resident Tina Martin with guest artists Dirty Cowboys, Wynney, Matt Powell and Mz Red.

Following our launch party in July with the illustrious Lisa Lashes, Qudos have been slowly and carefully selecting, for our next November instalment, some of Europe’s finest home grown talent, from Belgium to Ireland and our very own UK - to invade Club Mango in Reading!

Now if the launch party was anything to go by, on 9th November Club Mango will be stepping up a few more BPM than usual, for another night of the most cutting edge electronic dance music from minimal and electro to techno and trance! Get ready for this!

On the night in the main room we’ll be warming up with some of Reading’s local upcoming talent, Wynney and the infamous Dirty Cowboys! The Dirty Cowboys had the dance floor rocking at the launch night and so we are happy to have them back along with Wynney as our guests, to thrash out the dirty electro beats that you love! Then next up we have Qudos Resident Dj/Promoter Tina Martin, who again this year has been gracing some of the biggest clubs across the Uk to Ibiza and Amsterdam, and on the night will be laying down a funky and chunky techno set to get things moving and grooving for our Belgium tech-trance invader, Fred Baker!!

Fred Baker is now one of the world leaders in tech-trance. With 17 years in production and dj’ing around the world he is by no means one of the pioneers of trance music and one of the biggest producers/remixers on the electronic music scene. Fred’s statement production track was ‘Forever Friends’ which was the Sensation White anthem of 2006 and after his recent tours of Australia, Brazil and Canada Fred’s year to date has been filled with playing at some of the UK’s biggest promotions such as Goodgreef, Fire It Up, Gallery, Godskitchen, Inside Out, Wildchild, Gatecrasher as well as internationally on the Amnesia World Tour, Sensation White and Dance Valley!!

Then advancing on the decks after Fred we have Irish sensation John O’Callaghan! John’s rapid rise to fame upwards through the ranks of the world’s Dj/Producer elite has been nothing short of meteoric who has stamped his authority on the global trance community over the past 18 months. After so many colossal releases, such as monstering remixes ‘Restricted Motion’ and ‘Exactly’ which was one of the biggest tracks of 2006 and the release of his album ‘Something To Live For’, John now produces for acclaimed labels such as Discover, Euphonic and now for PVD’s label Vandit and Armada for Armin Van Buuren. John’s Dj performances during this time have taken him to headline events in Germany, Poland, Holland, Sweden and Cyprus for UK heavyweights Gatecrasher, Gallery, Goodgreef and Inside Out! And so as Tiesto has quoted ‘he is really on fire at the moment!’ – so this is a man you don’t want to miss!

And then with the final onslaught in the main room, we have Marcos (Euphonic)! Marcos has established himself as one of the UK's best known Trance producers. Having written and remixed a staggering number of tracks over the last 5 years, he has forged himself an excellent reputation as a quality producer, remixer and DJ. As a DJ, mark has performed world wide at all of the biggest promotions including GodsKitchen, Gatecrasher, Passion, Dance Valley, Slinky and many more. Trips to Indonesia, Egypt, Turkey, Holland, Germany and Canada are just a small example of how far and wide his music has appealed. In terms of production, Cosmicstring can be considered one of the most successful trance tunes of the past few years. And now 2007 marks a significant new chapter in his career as he kicks off his first record label, Kerf Music, and with big projects still lined up on Armada, Combined Forces and Kerf, and DJ bookings to boot, 2007 is proving to be another big year!

And now also at Mango for our event we will have a ‘heated’ outside terrace, where we’re having Reading’s very own dontstayin.com ‘BOA’ invasion to celebrate the birthday of one of our performing dj’s on the night - Matt Powell! Matt has played at events such as Voodoo and Erotique at Mango and at Qudos he will be spinning some of the finest range minimal tunage on the decks alongside Mz Red, who has also previously played for Qudos and Gifted – who will take over the decks and show what girls and tech house is all about! It’s going be one hell of a BOA affair!
