My name is Johan but for long people have called me Joe, wich is the reason for the project name Joe Rifmann. Im currently based in Denmark.
For almost a decade i spent all avalible time, learning how to create the music i started an love affair with, back around in the year 2001.
For a start i played as a dj at the copenhagen psytrance scene for some years around 2004-2006. This was a fun period of my life, i was young, played alot of gigs and i got to meet alot of the big names in the scene. But since 2006 when i moved from copenhagen, i have only dj'ed a few times, for the fun of it. Instead i focus on producing.
In 2012 i got signed at Landmark-Recordings, a new German/Greek based label. Landmark-Recordings is founded by Dj Olaf Murus who was a label partner at iono records for many years, and Akis Fatdata who is one half Kyma and Dataform. So no doubt i choose Landmark for releasing my music. My first EP Rifmannia will soon be released, and will be avalible on Beatport, I-tunes and Juno.
