LoveLikeRain,

First of all let me say that I have no problem with you personally or anyone else in the Seattle area. You guys are good people and I have really enjoyed the events that I played and have been to here.

However it is not right that I shouldn't be able to express my sincerely held religious belief and ask a simple request to take down a few banners. I am sure that most people would say that the reason they go to parties is to have fun and spend time with friends and dance to good music. It is never my intention to offend anyone but sadly that is impossible to never have happen. You may want to ask the promoter of that party about our conversation that took place before that event ever happened.

For everyone else let me clarify that I have NO problem with 90% of the art that is used in parties that I have been to. I really enjoy the artwork and appreciate the effort that has gone into making them. If I get trashed for being this way that's ok, but please, please understand where I am coming from and don't assume that I am out to offend and make trouble.

Tim

I just think it INTOLERENT of any artist to tell a promoter to take down art or deco that they see fit to hang. I understand that you are offended by religious imagery that is not of christ but you should understand this music that you play started in GOA and people relate to Shiva and buddah and other eastern imagery at GOA events. Intolerance of others and thier art and way of life is not how you open minds and hearts to your way of thinking.
You do know that many people you play your music to are on drugs or seaking eastern states of meditation?
Keep up the good tunes Jirah as they get beter all the time but think on my words here and think twice when you ask to censor an artists vision as the artist that made some of the art you want taken down may be standing just behind you.

Well i guess Jirah has not retired after all.

Check out this comp. on Spliff Music. There is a Jirah track!!!

http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/spc/spc1cd012.html

It would be really nice to hear more of his stuff, but i'm terribly dissapointed in the way this CD is being advertised. Just read the release info and you will hopefully understand what i am talking about.
And i don't want to make a buig fuss about this and post my thoughts in the TRANCE section, where there already are tons of complaints.

How come lately all CDs are DANCEFLOOR KILLAS, they are being played by the TOP DJs, are being tested in the hotspots of trance music...i mean, every single release is being promoted like this. Than what happens with the little rest who don't get promoted-IN YOUR FACE-style? They are not popular, not played by the TOP DJs...?

bullcrap.

Jirah had built up quite a backlog of unreleased tracks, Spliff music has been steadily releasing a stash of his tracks he'd built up before he bowed out of the scene.

While this track hasn't been released I don't think it's particularly "new", or that Tim is planning on returning. VaporVent records also has another unreleased Jirah track that is coming on their next comp.

It's too bad he's not coming back, but I'm glad the tracks are getting released somehow.

USTA delayed & sat on his debut album for 2 full years before releasing it, so, delays of getting his great music out is par for the course... it's too bad more labels didn't take advantage of having access to his great music when they had the chance.

i agree with aeon.. jirah's music was truely unique, too bad that not too many labels got a hold of his tracks... although im happy to see some of it being released. forgive me if im wrong but was there an album in the pipeline as he retired? anyways i hope more of his tracks are released and my luck to jirah.           www.soundcloud.com/ishikawa

"surrounded in chaos"

http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/dra/dra1cd068.html

still one of the most powerful tracks ever for me.
timeless music, unlike alot of the trance that gets released that is out of style by the time it hits the shelves. i'm sure i will listen to this track years from now and get the same blissful feeling it evokes. brilliant

peace and light
