...................................................................................................

Hello everyone,

Since 1997 I have been involved in the electronic scene; first as an observer, then a dj, then a producer. I have had many wonderful experiences throughout this time; I’ve had the opportunity to travel around the world and meet many wonderful people.

It is with a heavy heart that I must announce my departure from the scene; the decision to do so has long been on my mind. I want to say to everyone who has helped me along the way - you are appreciated immensely. It has been an honor to share my music with the world and I hope the Jirah name will be remembered for having a spirit of love and energy; one of hope and peace. I will have a few more releases this year and my last 2 shows will be on Friday, April 22nd in San Francisco and Saturday, August 27th in Chicago. I’ve learned a lot from these last 8 years about life and how to make a decent groove, and I want to thank all of you for your support through the years!

Tim / Jirah

The new website will be posted shortly with new music clips and will remain up until August 2005.

Check the "Discography" link below for details on past releases and the remaining releases for this year.

N.America's best... really hope he reconciders this decision!

you can turn your back on a person, but never turn your back on goa.

cheers to an amazing career though! Ill be there in Chicago for the last showdown for sure.

Boom Jirah!!!

I remember dancing my socks off to a night of Jirah-navigated psychedelic bliss over at a club called Elysium in Austin TX... many years ago.
It was a very memorable night n for this reason along with ur inspirational music- i will continue to remember the Jirah spirit of love & energy

May u find ur greenest pastures yet

i played after Jirah last year today exactly.... i can tell you Tim is a nice and subtle dude...softspoken and polite; into his religion and his own style. i rather enjoyed his chill music piece on "natural born chillers" alot... i wonder where he will go next.

if I may interject a bit in this solemn ceremony..

It always bugs me a little when artists have to dramatically "announce" their retirement. Like, what are you, the Pope? Have to let us down gently? Need a shoulder to cry on? Come on.. If you feel like taking a break, do it. Plenty of people have done so in the past. Some have returned, and some have not. Now go jump off the trance wagon, and don't look back.

Yo DiMiTry

I think u can call this SHARING. ( btw it seems that Tim has no idea it was publicized here ) but to give u a fuller answer on my behalf... Well, since artist SHARE their music with their fans ( many times even against their will YO ) - it is only natural to say goodbye to those that liked their music and might wonder where they are now...

I am not really surprised tho at your post... few years ago I might find it quite insulting actually... But I guess the way some ppl treat music, this exact way they treat other ppl           A man with a "master plan" is often a woman

It's not about the music. It's about the drama.

could really do without it.

This announcememnt was put in Jirah site. Someone copy paste it to here.. Instead of ranting u could just show some maturity and respect to the other.

I guess there is much less drama in illegally recording live sets and pirating with mp3. All the rest is not important as long as we got the dope YO.           A man with a "master plan" is often a woman
