Echoes Records is back with a brand new 2 track EP, from Swiss producer Jill Bellac.
Gilles Bellac, aka Jill Bellac, a former chemistry lab assistant, was infected with the dance floor vie from a tender age… Way before he could actually enter clubs.
Influenced by a large selection of prominent producers, such as, Prodigy and Chemical Brothers, and DJ's including Carl Cox, Deep Dish, Sven Väth, Richi Hawtin, Timo Maas to name a few, it was written in his stars that no matter what, this obsession of his will result in a solo project produced by him.
This obsession placed him to work, finally ending up in the School of Audio Engineering (SEA) in Zurich.
“I learned a lot at SEA. But the best period of my education was the time I spent in the studio with Simon Schwendener (Khainz). That’s something I still do today. There’s nothing like hanging around a pro and creating techno!”
Jill’s talent was instantly visible… His very first release, “Assassin - Voodoo Doll,” (Jill Bellac 2nd Mix) promptly landed on Beatport’s Minimal Chart. In June 2008, Max Cooper (Traum Schallplatten) pushed this very remix to the top of his chart. That was precisely the booster shot Jill needed to continue producing.
Jill released his second piece soon afterwards, a remix for Assassin. It appeared on “South American Sounds” by John Acquaviva from Canada.
This was quite well received, and led to a release with tracks by the world’s best electronic dance music producers on compilations like “Ibiza November 08.”
Echoes Records is delighted to present to you this hyper active EP, including 2 original tracks which have already destroyed dance floors all over the world.
