I also feel there is a reaction of fear by secular ppl, where they think a trance party might become a dogmatic religious experience... which in essence it is already.

Yes, very true.

Trying to get into a state of trance is an old shamanic tool for traveling in the spiritual world (other dimensions) as all-ready mentioned earlier, however shamanism is not a religion it’s spiritualism .

you're both right, and you green channel are completly right when you say that shamanism is spiritual and not religious, sorry for my confusion on this subject!
even if we can considere that shamanism create religion, by making a philosophic way of being in trance!
that make me think that trance took a lot of different ways, and in fact we can find here the moment where all this ways are crossing each other!

True, all religions descend from Shamanism (shamanism is much older then any religion), all religions are basically expressing the same thoughts, they are just interpreted differently…           "Love is a way of life"

WARNNING: Some people might not like what they read below. Feel free to close your browser at any time.

I don't mind religious or spiritual imagery in general at partys but I do mind Christian imagery. Jesus might have been an interesting guy with interesting ideas but it is very hard to tell as we don't have any first hand accounts of his life (none of the texts of the bible were written by anyone that actually knew him). Also, all the stuff that was written later on about him has been mistranslated, censured, rewritten etc by people that amount to nothing else than power mongers.

Power mongers that did their utmost best to irradicate any other belief system, spiritual or other and forcing their one and only view on eveyone else. They persecute(d) and condem(ed) any new scientific ideas that challenges their very closed power base. They pretty much irradicated the rich pluralistic pagan belief systems that used to be arround Europe and tried to do the same thing to Judasim, the Islam and many American and African religions and belief systems.. Christinaity to me it is the epitome of closed mindedness and unacceptance of other people's choice to live their own lives. It isn't the only religion that does this but it is the one I am most familiar with.

Christianity as a religion is not very complex: God, a human like figure (how imaginative is that?), created you. If you do what he says you will be rewarded when you die. If you don't you will suffer in hell. There is no space for imagination, creation, individual thought, innovation, personal growth or anything really. You get the dogmatic ideas spoon fed and thats that. No real discussion possible.

The story of Jesus isn't very interesting either. The miracles he is claimed to have performed are directly related to the most basic and mundane fears of death and health. Most fairy tales are more interesting than that, So are most SF books actually. If you look at other religions or philosophies like Buddhism, Aboriginal dreamscape, Hinduism, Shintoism, Taoism etc they tend to be more complex and more abstract than Christianity. More pluralistic, more accepting of others and frankly, alot more interesting.

Psytrance is _supposed_ to be about ritual trance, complex and abstract soundscapes, innovative high-tech sounds, innerverse exploration, new ideas and emotions, journeys on the boundaries of the human mind and spirit. How does a closed minded outdated belief mode like Christianity fit into that? It doesn't.

So yes I do mind Christian imagery at psytrance partys. It doesn't belong there. Keep it away.

God and all the belivers, I would just like to say that your world is an ashtray. We burn and coil like cigarettes, the more you cry your ashes turn to mud. It’s the nature of the leeches, the virgin’s Feeling cheated.
You’ve only spent a second of your life.

My world is unaffected, there is an exit here. I say it is and then it’s true.

There is a dream inside a dream,
I’m wide awake the more I sleep.
You’ll understand when I’m dead...

I went to God just to see, and I was looking at me. Saw heaven and hell were lies.

Let’s jump upon the sharp swords, and cut away our smiles. Without the threat of death,
there’s no reason to live at all.

No salvation, no forgiveness
’this is beyond your experience’
Forgiveness...?

haha, thats ok. Its not ment to be understood, but to be wondered about.

Ask me about a line, and I'll explain it to you, but I wount excpain it here and now. Maybe its not ment to be understood because it doesnt really mean anything in particular? maybe? But one thing is clear, and that is that Psychedelic trance is about psychedelic substances and whatever it may include.

i found many reason to live, as many reason to not live, your sentence about there's no reason to live are to much decadente for me, living is a way of God, why not living it?
being as this pessimiste, and try to find an other way, can be honnored, but this is not fair! unless you discover you're attachment to the "BIG ALL"
I hope you're gonna discover it before your death, and I hope you will give us your founding before it also!

You have to quote the whole sentence: "Without the threat of death, there’s no reason to live at all." It makes more sense that way.

I think this is a very ignorant statement. But believe what you want to believe.

And psytrance is what you want it to be, pretty much life in general is like that. Now if we start censoring others on what they can or cannot do... I am personally glad ppl have a forum where they can share knowledge and beliefs. The ultimate truth is one, it does not matter how it is communicated, expressed or followed... it is always the constant surrounding our existence.
