Big bordel = big mess, Lolivier

and the second word was "wise" maybe ?

But I don't think i'm "wise" at all, hehe..

Back to the topic.. (but we're getting away from it, btw.. let's leave it after this, will we ?)
Lolivier there can be several "lectures" of what a state of 'trance' is.. You have yours, considering it is the same mechanism as with religion.. Ok, your right. But I don't think people who don't believe the same as you are "making the mistake" as you state it.

I would like to make the distinction between religion and faith/spirituality. To me, religion is an organisation and a set of rules, i.e. a church. I am very much against religion because it is a power structure to control and manipulate people. It feeds on people's fears, insecurities and ignorance. IMO, it is one of the most evil things in the world.

Faith/Spirituality is something personal. There is nothing wrong with that as long as people don't force their beliefs on other people.

As for religious images in psytrance partys, NO THANKS! If you are secure in your faith/spirituality, you shouldn't need any images to remind you. On the other hand, people that are not into your faith/spirituality are probably not interested in this imagery. I find it very selfish to want to have your chosen religion's imagery imposed on other people.

Also, I think public praying is just a form of showing off. Look how holy I am ... Keep it to yourself. If you are truely praying to your god, you don't need to show other people. Your god will get your message.

kakoo, you're right when you say that's they're is different way of "lectures" (can we say that, lectures in english?) but that's why i ask a answer to my opinion!
for me religion is the essence of trance, and i studied it in an historical way, perhaps there's others, and i'd like to know witch ones!

Lolivier Chill out..

I'm quite agreed with him, by the way.. and the distinction he makes between religion and spirituality is a good point. The only thing where we think a bit different is when he says "no thanks".. I say "I don't mind"..

ok, but are you agree when he say "against", that's clearly a war declaration, and i can't like that!
for me also there's a different betwen religion and spirituality, of course there is!
when he says "no thanks" and when you say "I don't mind", I say: stay open to the world an his multiplicity!
I don't really respect myself this last sentence, but i want to... and hope (cause it seems that pray is not the good place here) that i'm gonna be a real open mind!

i just want to appologize myself of being offtopic, i talk about religion and trance, where the subject is jesus and trance! perhaps my words about religion was necessary to accept jesus in a trance vision!
so let's come back to the subject!

and so my thinking of that, is let accept jesus like we accept everybody else!

trance for everyone can be a way, and jesus is one of everyone!

I do believe in the value of all mythological representation @ parties. Even i do apprecialte to learn about it. In the end I think we are smart enough to make the decision on our own. I have never been dogmatic about my spiritual life, although I have gone to church on Sundays and have heard the priests sermons since I have been small. I have a problem when they try to force you to do this and that... I think if the change does not start from within nobody will be able to change you. Bottomline is our decision, our free will. Most religions are common sense and not very different than our tribal rituals and interaction between trancers. It is a matter of acceptance.

I also feel there is a reaction of fear by secular ppl, where they think a trance party might become a dogmatic religious experience... which in essence it is already.

Yes, very true.

Trying to get into a state of trance is an old shamanic tool for traveling in the spiritual world (other dimensions) as all-ready mentioned earlier, however shamanism is not a religion it’s spiritualism .

Blah blah blah blah. And still this topic grows ever larger. Moderators!! Why won't you lock this? Is this the israTRANCE (mind the capital letters) forum or the jesussaves forum?? I believe in God thou Jesus or religious has nothing to do with God. God has not much to do with psytrance, religion have even less.

Close this thread!

you're both right, and you green channel are completly right when you say that shamanism is spiritual and not religious, sorry for my confusion on this subject!
even if we can considere that shamanism create religion, by making a philosophic way of being in trance!
that make me think that trance took a lot of different ways, and in fact we can find here the moment where all this ways are crossing each other!
