Well,I was talking with Nik(Mekkanikka) the last party anfd he told me,as a neutral,a very interesting version.
Basically that he refuse to play because the sound system wasn`t good enough for him....or something like that.
I found all this affair very sad  but....I actually can understand Jean`s behavior "I`m here in Switzerland,it`s freezing,the sounsystem is crap....F**K IT!!!,I put my ass out of here..."But the thing is that he was paid before wich creates an ethic problem...

Good to hear the other side ... thanxx ... i wrothe allready a email to Alex (Promoter from Independence 2004) ...
and he replied me and told me the he didn't make this Post here !!! and would like to speak to me that we can clean up these things ...
i gonna writhe it down when i got he's phone ...
And if svenne get right ... i understand Jean ...
About the soundsystem :
The Soundsystem Outdoor was reeeeeeaaaaallllyyyyy goood ...FAT PA ....
but Indoor it wasn't so big ... bud also not bad i have to say ...
I think Jean was suposed to play Indoor so on the small system ... but not in the cold outside ...
Maybe he trought he have to play outdoors in the cold ... because in both Floors (Chillout and Mainfloor) was boomboom Music ...

Ok, i'm breaking the silence now.
I'm Alex, member of the organization, and author of the original e-mail that was posted here. It was not supposed to be posted on a forum, it was really what it was said to be: a warning to other organizers. Someone decided to post it here, ok, so the matter is now public.
I didnt receive any message from orion on my handy the day he left the party. He was on the line-up, he got full advance dispite the financial catastrophe we were facing, and it was clear to ALL that the main line up had moved to the chill out. ALL other artists were playing there accordingly to the line-up, and you're telling me that Jean Borelli was not aware of that?? Come on...
He left without a phone call. When i arrived upthere in the morning, I looked for him all over the place, and Zirkin told me that he was pissed and decided to leave, and I know he didnt call me or tried to call me, as I have a service to tell me if i got any unanswered call, even when my mobile is shut off.
So for me the matter is clear: We couldnt pay all the people who lent money for that, but Orion got full fee, plane ticket, full accomodation with free food and free wine for him and his girlfriend for the four days they spent upthere, yet he left without playing and even without contacting me in any way, not even by e-mail.
So even if my words are strong, I stick to them: Mekkanikka,Sirius Isness, Space Buddha, etc... didnt bother to play the indoor room to the delight of present people, yet, Orion didnt do it, didnt contact me and went off without a phone call.
I'm still waiting for him to make contact, but i'm soooo angry that i couldnt get some people paid when this guy costed us thousands of euros for NOTHING.
Enuff said, please leave this matter to the organizers, I wouldnt mind this thread to be delated. My goal with this e-mail was not to destroy Orion's reputation to the public, but to warn the other promoters of his behaviour. What a shame, he was rather friendly actually. But I cannot let pass on that.
Best vibes to all, I'm eager to forget about all this shit...

all what i have to say is that all other artist have play with the bad weather there so why orion not ?

I guess the artists should start a e-mail campain "warning to all artists about Organiser-x" 
I find it rather ugly that you send out e-mails to other organisers as if he's (orion) is a criminal.... not very professional and I still do not believe one word of your "story" |

I think this matter should be resolved between the organaizers and Jean, a few people really know what happend, so everyone here could take a side a argue till the end and not get anywhere.
If Jean wants to post something please PM some one to re open this thread, till then it will be closed. |
