If you want a nice and clean bass try adding eq to it, it sound much dirty, also there are many vsts over the web available for download, personally i recommend sylenth1, good luck bro!           ProtoDrive https://soundcloud.com/protodrive

cool jawbone leads. The bass is dirty. I don't know if you have distortion on it or if it's clipping, but it could use some cleaning.           www.musicproductionnatural.com || www.facebook.com/djamoeba | facebook page

hi

I believe that your bass is not good for the style you are trying to do. if you want dark dark bassline you need saw/super saw. the best option you can go for is get samples of older analog gear for bass. I am sure you can buy them but make sure they are sampled from older analog gear such as Nord Lead 1/2 or Korg MS2000 and not come from some VST.

VSTs can give you great sound but not like hardware, I have learned it when I got the Nord. So if you can get your hands on samples go for it.

if not try some VSTs like Strobe or Albino.           http://soundcloud.com/exkor

I personally like the style of the bass, very deep almost sub bass, but dirty nonetheless. What is the patch set up like? To me it sounds a bit like the helicopter harmonics you get with a really low saw wave. I might thinking of something different but maybe try using sine waves with a little bit of FM or ringmod to add color? That way you can avoid ploppy harmonics. Or Perhaps use a different distortion.

Samples are a good idea. I have never used samples much cause I hate searching for the right one but that is definitely the best way to get quality.
