hi there,
I was wondering what are the good underground japanese trance projects, which are really twisted psychedelic. i heard a dj called superganesha, and he played amazing stuff that i haven't heard. can you name any artists.

ahaha i never heard of superganesha, never seen in my life.
i think most upcoming nice act is dj e-l5's band called Drap Drop.
there are some other bands playing live but all stinks and just following mainstream.
Tsuyoshi's band Joujouka is just experimental act and it is NOT trance so dont count them in.
there should be more bands i dont know but most of them are not even close to Drap Drop.

Well its not underground but you have Ubar Tmar hes got the crazy psychedelic music that the people from all over the world want to hear.
There are also CHARM, a group made by KURO(once part of the famous Tokyo Tekno Tribe), It is a fast full on and techy type of music. A very good group with a album out I am sure you can find it.
There is Drap Drop, which you should look forward too MAD FACTORY(El-5) of this forum. They have a very heavy and full on group. You can look forward to them, they are starting to play many lives here in Japan.
There is also UNI, they are a very killer group, not known to the world that much yet but they are very famous in Japan. Their live act is amazing, the tribal drums or TAIKO(japanese drums), and the traditional japanese sounds they use make this group very amazing to listen too.
Another is KINOCOSMO, they are made up of MASA(another member of the original Tokyo Tekno Tribe) and Ree-k(His wife). they have a unique style. They have guitar tracks and funky tracks, and also psychedelic tracks. They have one Maxi-cd out but i think its a Japan only release.
Sinister Association(VisionQuest) this guy gives crazy music out to people. He has a few releases out on a couple labels, you should look for it.
There are a lot more, but i dont know much so i will just list them here

oh how can i forget Gocco....
well they are not quite psychedelic trance act but they kick ass for live act.....reminded me the feeling of Juno Reactor live act. Gives out much energy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
those you listed groups are stinks.
i believe that drap drop is only act that could reach the point of international act. they sounds very full on thou but why not. |
