Me too!

But what I really want is using a bike, walking and better public transport.

moving 500kg or more of metal just for transporting one human being is super innefficient.           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."

great but supposedly many inventors have come up with alternative energy sources like this but it never ever develops into anything big because the powers behind the oil industry suppress these technologies. They either buy, threaten or kill these new inventors or just make sure they never get the funding they need to make it scalable.

well first mass produced cars (nissan leaf and chevy volt) hit the market so it seems car companies are staring to shaking off oil industry influence.

I agree with Aluxe, but I also think times seem to be changing... look at Germany, they actually have decided to turn nuclear reactors off, so... there is hope. I find it amazing tho that one never heard anything about this car again...           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

Turning nuclear reactors NOW its a very bad idea.

Turn them off when we have already replaced oil, but trying to replace both at the same time its too much.

Nuclear doesnt contribute to global warming and the dvelopment of the fussion reactor is probably the future of space exploration.

Also, if you stress too much the energy market people may start to burn coal again, and thats far worse.           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."

Well, Germany is actually replacing nuclear plants with renewable energies, as always, they start something, the rest of the world follows, and after Fukushima, me thinks turning the damn things off might save us all...           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

Salt water would be good..If it can't run on salt water it may be the dumbest idea ever considering we need to drink the stuff or die.

Nah, Nuclear energy has done much less harm that fossil fuels, it's gets satanized unfairly.

I also think the development and research in nuclear engineering and its related physics is quite important for understanding the universe and traveling it.           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."

Who is to say what fucks up the environment more? It's not about that, it is about utilizing alternate energy sources so we don't fuck up what's left of this planet.

btw. You sure have nerve to make a post like this post Fukushima !           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

C'mon, everyday we inhale the toxic gases emited by cars, carbon electricity plants emit more radiation than the average nuclear plant, oil spills happens all over the world every year.

I agree nuclear energy must not be our primary source, but right now humanity cant afford to substitude fossil fuels and nuclear energy at the same time.

Just look at ITER and tell me its not incredible what humanity is trying to achieve with it:

Is also one the few alternatives to travel across the space.
