first of all, thanks, Muschi, for this very important query...

second of all... why is there only ONE psy party happening in all of Japan on NYE?!?!?!?! the weekend before (the 24th) has TONS of parties, but NYE has one? one party that is a LONG way away from Tokyo (where I'll be for that night..)

/end rant

any suggestions?

Jesiah>> take a look at www.solstice23.com
there are a lot of parties on NYE in English.
My favorite is The Moon is Read (can somebody explain this party title?) lol. I guess they meant The Moon is Ready. Anyway, a happy 2006 to all of you.

I agree with ganges. Moon is read is a nice party.
Funny thing is I thought they meant "The Moon Is Red" as in Red Moon. We have black moon, blue moon, is there any meaning to Red Moon?

I'm very interested to know the answer to this title mystery too.           The music was like new black polished chrome
that came over the sky like liquid night.

Hikari, please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe "moon is read" is simply a play on the reading of the kanji characters...

In kanji, the parties name is written 月読, which translates to "goddess of the moon", or something like that (Hikari??).

The kanji taken seperately are 月= moon , 読=read(as in 'a book')...

Why they chose that take on it, I'm not sure... Japanese humour can be .... very subtle....??
