Hi friends, haven't been around for a while. I hope everyone is doing fine.

We've been experimenting in our studio with different approaches to producing, we've grown tired of the "sit down and left-click a track" procedure and wanted to try something else. It may not sound as technically splendid as before, it may not be processed to death by a plugin-brigade that would make any supercomputer grasp for air. But damn is it fun to do it this way!

I highly encourage anyone to try this method of producing, if not for serious productions, then just for the fun of hands on feeling and freedom to express yourself, you don't really need much gear either, you can easily do this with a few midicontrollers to control stuff in the box.

Here's an illustration of our first jam:

Thanks! I haven't heard of Molecular before, I will have to look into it.

We don't really use the Nova for anything else than as an external FX processor nowadays, the screamy metallic sound it does perfectly just doesn't do it for me anymore, but sometimes it's nice with a lush hall reverb to send other stuff through.

250 euros second hand nova, cant be bad for the money though.

was either that or a micro brute, the sounds for the minibrute are screamy and metallic, especially when you metalize the triangle wave form aha loads of fun it looks and sounds

as for the monotron I hook it up to a noise gate to cut off the cheap sound leak then put it through Molecular loads and loads of fun there..
cheers
