DISCLAIMER: this is not trance
Is a song about jammin over the net, it makes my day and i wanna share it with you. I hope you enjoy it as i do!
Quote:
Across the seas I hear piano keys playin, translating languages
through the rhythms in beats bangin, a universal exchange, of personal
pains and joys, it started with a verse, each person just came and
joined in, some are complete strangers, some only teenagers, all of us
creators, , we are the dreammakers, internationally transmittin
through bandwidth, passin this bands passion so the masses can jam
with us, all are invited to play, none are required to pay, let the
virus spread, inspire heads, go pirate away, this is that free music,
for people who need music, just listen and breathe to it, I hope that
you feel movement, different souls around globe, connected through
sound makin, they set the foundation now we take it to groundbreakin,
everybody played there part and now we have one song, and this is how
an unheard voice becomes strong

Awesome!
Check out Pomplamoose! They were one of pioneers of video songs on youtube.
What you see is what you get.

Fuckin A! I have a question that is more relevant to making trance tunes, is it possible for two people that use the same audio package, to make tunes on line in a way that every synth one opens and audio files one imports in the arrangement, get automatically updated on the other person's arrangement as well? So you look at the arrangement and talk to the other person using that (or skype) both people have control of the cursor, and one takes over from the other, talking and making the track in the same way they would if they were in the studio?

Disco I wonder if somehow you could use RDP or Remote Desktop for this. Because I have controlled my DAW and gotten sound output to my Ipod amazingly hehe (I was on a long trip and needed a way to produce). Doing this however I could'nt use asio because the ipod didn't work with it so I had to use defaut windows drivers and the piano roll lol. But that was on my ipod using Jaadu. If you are on a desktop or laptop you should be able to use asio4all. Might not even need to do that.
I can't believe I never thought of this for collabs before Holy Crap!

I am on a Mac running Logic 8, same as the person that can't be arsed to come to my house.
Will Remote Desktop work so that we can produce through the net?

I have a more complex setup in mind however. Each user has two cpu's.
Cpu's 1 and 2 each gets rdp'd by the corresponding cpu 1to1 and 2to2. Then a program like synergy links each users cpu 1 and 2 together that way one user composes on 1 and the other on 2 I just wonder if you had two sound cards and sync'd them could they then be sync'd to the other users cards over rdp or lan somehow?

I am uncertain but will look into it further. So far it seems it would possibly work but the only issue being sync. it would kind of be like using two daws at once but with more in depth control.
I need a little time to develop this idea.

I have no clue. I was just thinking of the .lso files that Logic saves the arrangements as, could be synced and updated in real time.
