yea i have tried making a sawD wave on an operator with a 24db filter and played with the envelope etc, but saturating it doesnt seem to bring out that sound. anyways, thanks for the reply

If you were getting close but the saturation wasn't doing it for you maybe consider using some other saturators, they often have quite different vibes. If you're using Ableton's Saturator for example, it will give you a MUCH different vibe than something like Decapitator for instance. At least that's how I see it. Anyway, that might sound totally obvious but I felt it was worth noting.

dont forget - this type of bass would require less env.mod, and lower breakpoint frequency, maby played on lower register too!
