suprised to find nothing here about this, but maybe the horrible search failed me again.

I will try to review in more depth when I have time, but I want to say that this is a big disappointment. I don't have a problem with the very poppish way j.viewz chose to go, it's cool with me if its good. but with all the cool concept of making the fans a part of the album creation and doing things on your own and even the very cool and well done product with the quality cover and the interesting story behing the album etc etc, the bottom line is that this album is not a good album.

the songs are not good enough and not interesting enough mostly and the album doesn't really feel like an album.

there are bright moments, of course as this is still jviewz were talking about.
oh somethings quiet shines like a beacon and is just a perfect song. meantime (little notes) still has enough of the original to be very good. saltly air is nice, as is this city means no love.
But overall it just doesn't do it to me, and i don't feel like listening to it a lot as an album.

i guess ill have to wait for the next jviewz album hoping it will be more of an album.

if you wanna go electronic songs way, go with cuts hold the sun. much better music, much better as an album.

Jonathan Dagan ( J.Viewz ) is one of the best and most creative musicians/producers around at the moment. 'rivers and homes' is his latest creation, and it's brilliant. An ear/mind/soul pleasuring experience. Exquisite production and beautiful arrangements. All the compositions are stunning and groovy. A very colorful, lush and diverse album with a very nice touch of nostalgia. Comes with beautiful packaging. Check it out:

It wasn't here because it's not the place for it, in my opinion. It's not the same style of the first album, and unfortunately far from it. More pop-ish than electro.           To Infinity And Beyond!

It's still chillout music.

'far too close' is well produced

the other songs are good too..

great CD           ..."Be yourself, let your conscience guide you...
Follow your heart, not the people around you"

My thoughts exactly

Though J.Viewz's production is a couple of levels above Washed Out's.

Cheers !

This 80s, retro, nostalgia kinda feel, combined with J.Viewz's exceptional, sleek and modern production, is just brilliant!

Lovely music video as well:

P.S: the clip has a more 70s feel though, with those visuals that fit to the loungy vibe of the track

Sums up nothing. You can also see that he said the album sounds pretty good.

It's all a matter of taste. I think it's an exceptional album.

So what if someone mentioned that chick ?

Anyway, the music videos are great as well.

Both are wonderful albums. Very different from each other in terms of style, atmosphere and emotion. In terms of production, also both are really good, but 'rivers and homes' is a level above in my opinion.

Also, there are quite a few more options which are just as exciting, beautiful, creative and interesting, if one "wanna go electronic songs way", such as:

1. Apparat – The Devil’s Walk

2. Bibio – Mind Bokeh

3. Submotion Orchestra – Finest Hour

4. Tobias Lilja – Delirium Portraits

5. Nedry – Condors

6. Bonobo – Black Sands

7. Radiohead – The King Of Limbs

Enjoy
