hi everyone.
someone use ozone for mastering?
i wonder if i set the multiband harmonic exciter to 20 Hz at 120 Hz is too much for the bassline. maybe the body of the bass take too much "distorition" or mugginess".
i let you a track of mine so you can listen what i said

hard to say because there is only wet version. i dont know how it sounds before you use exciter.
i experiment with ozone on my newest track, but with small amount of exciter, max 2.5 per band (dual triode type) - it help little, but i can live without it this is always an individual matter. One time it helps, one time not. big matters is where you set the crossover point, you cant guess, or put on any place. if you hear distortion than change amount or type or... maybe your low frequencies dont need exciter.

yes indeed sounds a bit dirty.
overall mix might be better, you need to work on eq more, exciter won't help too much. i mean with simple things like gain, panning, eq and reverbs you can make this mix much better then 'mastering' it with ozone www.overdreamstudio.com

to alienbug:
thanx anyway i use 0.3 in that freq range...and i think that is a little too muggy..maybe don't need exiter, or maybe i can reduce and exite only some sub freq, for make the bass more fatty.
to makus:
yeah the mix is not perfect..but i put monitors speaker yesterday in my home "studio" and only now i hear this thing http://soundcloud.com/dylanproject

if it is only 0.3, maybe (like makus said) do changes in mix and after that you will not need an exciter anymore
