Never tried this app but looks great.

iPhone already has two great apps that communicate with each other, BeatMaker and Nois.io.

BeatMaker can load any samples and lets you play them on MPC style drum pads. It also has a sequencer for making beats.

Noise.io is a fully featured synth with a quite few interesting functions. Lots of effects, LFOs, pitch sequencer, arpeggiator, etc. You can then use an onscreen keyboard or your patterns on the XY pad, with a mod matrix that lets you assign effects to X and Y as well as to the way you tilt your phone thanks to the accelerometer. It sounds great too, even comes with a 303 preset bank.

You can then record these patterns and import them into beatmaker. It's pretty damn cool although a little clunky.
