Can u enjoy the same music that ur used to do 5,6, 10 years ago? I mean some producers still doing the same "formula" from the past. Can u still listenning "trance n roll" 145 bpm trax? Can u still listenning those boring prog´s with bass lines that never changes? Can u listen those melodic fullon trax full of female voices sampled? Well i dont... |

thats why I dont listen only psy anymore,the same recycle sound thing..
but that happens with all types of music,the only hope is to produce by ur self..

yea but i do still loving trance, but not (sorry israelis), most new israeli producers that r pasting music formulas to theyr "logic" prgms. Sure there r new good stuff, but im talkin about those like RAJA RAM, ASTRIX, GMS, SKAZI that still doing the saaaame as they already did. |

there is something unique about the monotone basslines in certain styles that isn't possible with more dynamic ones... so that reason is kinda weird I think.
but yeah sure I get tired of bad music as much as you do.

yea because prog trance nowdays is much better than in the past, much more dynamic as u said. So lets get something clear...Trance still rulling ok, there r many new good producers, but some ppl seems be stoped in time, producing the same stuuf! A lapse of creativity, maybe? Buts most possible is, "this formula brings me money, lets keep it this way" |

as a matter of fact most new artists r just trying to immitate the older music or make useless remixes ...
why cant they be original
being a qualified audio engineer n dj myself , i feel psytrance can hav much more unique basslines n groovy stuff to their music.....
if only i had the time n energy to produce at this time i surely wld hav done something more progressive

I think a balance between new and old is good..
lots of new stuff is to be invented, but if its good is another question.
i listen to alot of old stuff, more old than new, its such a fast pace the new stuff comes so its hard to follow up....
i sometimes wish everything just slowed down...

One have to keep in mind also that so many things have been made already, so being original becomes an higher challenge ! I say let's focus on the few that manage to be original and let the others sink into the ocean of déjà-vu..

talkin about "tired of listenning the same music" i mean the music mostly played on parties, not the music i use to listen. Of course if i was playing at huge parties n festivals id never play the same stuffs i used to do in the past. So i cant understand how some djs still playing it....i mean GOA, Europe, Brazil or South Africa, places that ive being on the last 5 years...i got some djs playing Alien Project. How is it possible? Maybe this guys doesnt have any references, Maybe they play wat ppl wanna hear, not wat they like, but...most possible is...lets play wat brings ppl to the parties because that....also brings me money!!! |
