Ableton freeze is awsome!
Dragging the frezzed track to an audio track creates an instant wave render. which is really great!!!
And we can unfreeze the original track again... and re-edit it over and over.
The best thing on FL Studio (imo) is the piano roll layout. Really smooth.
It's very easy to create melody lines with the mouse only..
Reaper is light and powerfull. And the licence is very cheap... It really pays the price.
I have to try it.
Though I'm tented to use Cubase as main host rewired with Live.
I'm still trying to find the best working environment that combines good workflow + inspiration with good audio quality

so lets say I made track on FL.
then I export all channels to wav {without EQ on them} then open cubase and import those wavs.
EQ them and everything and finaly export as a track.
it has any different than doing export from the fruity in the first place?

BIG
because probably all of what 0hz said.
i do my tracks always like this.
cant skip FL for inspiration and magic tools.
but once its going in cubse atleast 2-3 channels get new volume settings (1-2 db up or down) as straight result of the new sounding mix.
one flaw in most test is that people really dont know to set up fl best. the programmers there make the defauls as bad as it gets hehe
but really , there is so much great sounding music done on FL , nothing that anyone can point out of VA when there is tracks from any program

nope, no difference between the two, the only thing that counts in audio quality is your ears... if you have good ears, you'll make the track sound good on an impulse tracker or on cubase or logic or adobe's audition... (Or FL studio)
anything..

we suggest doing the best music we can, and consider just the platform itself..if it could have any improvement in sound quality..
nothing else..you can feel comfortable with most of the softwares after a period of learning it..
ontopic please..

Listen, FL Studio has great quality, most Hip Hop producers use it (lots of them, most of them i think)
and that's where FL Studio's most famous, in the hip hop scene. most psy producers use cubase, but that's because popularity, FL Studio's the SAME in audio quality, and much smoother to work in...
don't sweat too much whether which DAW you use, just use it, produce some groovy tracks and go with it, don't go nuts over daw's... just treat the sound, eq when needed, compress etc. you'll get a very good quality track that way..

this topic is big debate all over the net with some compelling arguments.
the maths and reason tells me there should not be any difference but from my experience will differ.
I like FL studios midi capability(among other things, i'm a lot more comfortable in FL because its the only DAW i've used until recently) and i like abletons audio and composition capability.
Since i've started to rewire FL through Ableton. (fl as slave). i get much better result in qaulity by recording my track(1 at a time) in to ableton as audio. and mix from there. maybe the 64bit summing engine or I don't no. just sound like the mix has better definition.
one thing i have noticed with FL running on its own. When you solo 1 channel , all effects switch off(even if there is nothing in the rack, swich all off), with one sound playing (exsample bass) on it. the moment i switch 1 of the 8 empty effect pannels on,(even if it is empty) the sound changes ever so slighly (hearable through headphones). switching empty channels on changes it even more , ever so slightly.
hope u understand what i mean.
I have checked the difference in wave with adobe audition to analyze.
With 1 solo channel & no effect VS. all channels on & no effects. There is a slight difference even detectable on the fundamental freq changes with .020hz +/- ,i can not really analyze the timbre but it does sound duller
even switching only edison on changes the sound..
do a A/B with headphones. toggle edison on off with a KICK loop only.
same thing with spectrum analyzers like 'blue CAT' voxengoSPAN,, but here i find it does the same in ableton.
maybe this does not happen in ableton because there is no live channels turned on until you add one.
i do not no

Most (all?) DAWs will output bit-identical copies of audio if the channel and master faders are left on zero, so simply loading in a loop or a VSTi and exporting it vanilla will not tell you anything.
If you want to try and test for any differences in the mixing engines you need to add FX plugins and move faders so the engine is actually doing something to mix what you hear. I would not recommend using VSTis, but rather loops or static audio files, since VSTis do not always produce an absolutely repeatable output.
Even then, don't trust your ears, because the placebo effect will be very strong in tests like this. Phase inverting and adding the two test renders together will eliminate everything common to the two files and leave you with only the differences, which you can then analyse with your DAWs Statistics function and a good spectrum analyser. Remember though that the 'difference file' will not tell you which DAW those differences came from; for that you will have to use your ears and brain But be careful of the placebo effect!

for me it is 100% that ableton output and cubase output are two different worlds.
I notice it each time, there cannot be a placebo.
I'm a bit confused about this issue.
Somehow I tend to like the output of ableton beter or warmer?,even though production wise there is not a single doubt for me that cubase is the clear master between both .
