I am using battery 2 for my drums. When I load up the multi input version none of the individual outputs are audio channels. They are FX stems or some bs IDK what they are. Part of my whole reason for this though is so that I can record into each individiual drum track and have one .wav file for each drum instrument. Anybody that can help thanks!
I was using ableton and fell in love with resampling etc then realized the offline processing with a separate app is a bitch so I figured I'd try cubase a while longer before going back to the one that does them all just in different ways fl studio. Seriously I have yet to find anything in another daw that cant be done somehow in FL. Shits crazy but I would like to switch to something with a cleaner interface and a different workflow.

hi
i don't use battery but maybe i can help.
if you want separate outs for a multi-output plugin like battery, kontakt, omnisphere etc you must first enable these outputs.
press F11 and open the plugin. there is a button on the left and looks like this: [->
you can enable or disable the plugin's outputs there.
hope that helps |

I'm new in the cubase land but i hope i can help .
The outputs of your vsti are not audio track or fx theyr are just ... the outputs lol..
(they are routed to the default bus:your soundcard outputs, if you have a sound card with multiple outputs and want to use them you probably need to...read the manual lol)
In cubase audio track are just for audio and when i say audio i mean audio files(or clips) and for audio recording ofc (in files).
And hmm.. if you want to record your vsti outputs in .wav you have 2 options (maybe more i don't know):
1-solo the outputs and file>export(or select what you want to export in the dialog box)
2-or route your vsti outputs to a group channel track(this is like a mixer channel in fl studio) and in a new audio track select this group as input and record.
(select the audio track and click on the record button on the main screen)
and yes like said above make sure you enable all the outputs you use.(in case of a multi-outputs vsti, like the plugin version of flstudio hehe ). |

yeah what alekis said is true but i cannot record these files to audio. i just recently have wanted to turn all my midi data into audio as i produce. because once its bounced to .wav you can do much more tweakage with it.
i did it once i went into vst connections and created a mono output bus and i output the vst to the outputbus then created an audio track with that input and enabled monitoring and recorded. but seriously thats a bitch and it doesnt work with everything.
